Any changes in coins supply, reward algo are not acceptable after start, anyway.
It's truisms

Exactly

If you think it is a good idea then you have gone full retard  Grin

AnonymousEconomist... never go full retard

Well.. You kiddies clearly don't know your history.

When Darkcoin was released in January, the max cap was massive. That's why it got a 50% instamine. After the reduction, assuming you know your history, it became one of the most successful coins in 2014.
Where do you noticed any instamine in BURST? From the early start everyone had it's own rig to mine Burst. It was transparent and fair start, which have nothing with Darkcoin hidden launch.

Exactly. I believe this coin would do well with a reduction, considering it wasn't instamined.

I was just making the point that reducing max coins certainly has no negative effect on prices.

Probably,it might not be negative for price in some cases. But it will be a true suicide to coin itself. Accordingly, the question of price - is secondary. Dead coin - haven't any price at all.

Cutting down supply rate will be a clear proof of a dying coin full of bag holders waiting to dump.
I hope BURST will not take that way.

Only fair way I would see a reduction greater than 5% would be voting it and with the approval of the dev. Otherwise, 5% every month is equal to or more than 50% a year. I can see the incremental 5% would prevent wild swings in prices.

Initial implementation of reward assignment for v2 pools is done. Will be testing and hopefully releasing client update tomorrow.

Great work dev.
Can't wait to switch my hdd's with my plots to the new pool.

This

Do NOT cut the supply rate or max supply if you want this coin to live..

It's a desperation move.

What I would like to see is GPU plotting, that would make it easier for 'normal' users to mine.

I think a multipool would be best for GPU usage. Also boosts prices.

IMO the 5% reduction is fair and good enough.

Finding a block (thus receiving 10.000 BURST) when solo-mining is becoming harder and harder every day.
Takes me about 4 days and 3TB per instance and it's rising.

When the dev releases the new pool update, everyone still solo-mining will switch to the pool as with this update you are able to use your plots initially created.
So the distribution of the block reward will be spread over all who submitted a valid share.

Let's say there will be about 40/50 TB of plots involved (i guess it will be much more), everyone will receive a fair amount of BURST.
So at the end you will receive maybe about 100 BURST per block and decreasing with 5% each month.

We do need a GUI for the plot creation/ mining part so the noobs among us and everyone else which follows us in the near future has no problems setting things up.

Then again, if they need any help they are more then welcome to join us in the forum.

The fact that the dev is not responding to FUD's and is keeping his promises for the pool (already released a first version on request of the CM) and is online every day proves to me that this IS the most innovative coin since DRK.

Also, before hitting Bittrex/ Mintpal or any other major exchange there should be other things in place.

We have some great members so creating stuff like block-explorer, rich list should be no big issue.
A few things are already in place. Just have patience and look at the future instead of spreading FUD.

Also, DO NOT SELL YOUR COINS CHEAP.

Please, what is this error?

Code:

This logging can be turned off or adjusted with configuration settings 'akka.log-dead-letters' and 'akka.log-dead-letters-during-shutdown'.

I seem to have realized that it is a disk problem. I have the plots on a NAS ... it could be the network latency? I'm finding little or no shares since last night. Currently I have about 1,62TB file plots but I'm not finding shares.
Thanks in advance

just harder to find blocks in general. i was averaging 1-2 blocks per day on 2.5tb but that's dropped down to 1 per day if i'm lucky. i'm waiting for pool v2 to come along.

Thanks tricass. So it means that the miners have risen in the pool and also the size of their plots. Bad for me but good for Burst Coin.  Grin
I look forward to the new pool v2. Now I have to figure out what that mistake .... it seems only an info but I do not understand what.

I honestly don't know who could possibly dump at this price.

At the current price it puts the market cap of this coin at around 50 BTC, now think about that for a second, the most innovative coin in recent memory is sitting at a market cap of $25 000.

Whoever sells at this price is brain dead. Once we get added to a proper exchange with more exposure, no offence C-Cex, but your exchange is dead, expect the market cap to reach up to 1000 BTC...at least

you know, it makes no sense to advise them not sell at such low price, may be they were just feel it is easy to mine, several person hold > 1million burst, and also some person have mined >2million within two week, just randomly click the blockfinder in NRS, you will easily find some guys hold >1million burst. for them, even at the price now, it is still bring a great profit for them, suppose if I have mined 1million two week, and sell at 0.009btc/1block, i can still get 0.9btc, it is really a great profit compared to any other coins, it is not low for them at all. the only thing we can do is attract more and more miners in burst, and increase the difficulty of the mining, only they realized they can't mine as easy as before, they will hesitate to sell at such price, the difficulty is too low now.

But all the big miner keep their coins, show an the wallets. I think this are the smaller miner that  sell their coins to cheap.
Check out the wallets of the larger miner, the most have not sold any coins.

it doesn't work in that way, as long as miner are making profit out of it, they will continue to sell regardless of everything else

for bitcoin is the same is the most innovative, is the first, but miners sell , they need profit, no matter what
