Ok, as long as big companies are talking that couldn't be bad. I am pretty sure Bitcoin will be back over 600$ in no time at all Smiley

Hopefully even higher. Like in any other market, there are ups and downs. And it's a currency after all, it's impossible to disappear in a week or two.

People are getting fed up with this type of none sense discussion without any result. It is not " good" yet. The market won't react.

i can be sure that a big pump is incoming, if all those big companies are accepting it, still amazon is left; ebay with bitcoin would make my life easy, i would get rid of paypal unless you must use bitcoin through paypal for ebay

I am just afraid if ebay does adopt btc the fee's will be ridiculous as ebay isn't getting their paypal money also.

The value is about to explode... too many good news without any price increase.

I think things will be fairly calm until the etfs go online. Once that happens things will get crazy.

uh what means etfs?

uh what means etfs?

Exchange traded funds. It's an investment fund with features like passive management and can be traded like regular stocks and commodities. Basically we will see Bitcoin traded on Wall Street.
I think etfs are still an open bet, even if the Winklevoss one seems like it's in a good position for approval these things take ages to be accepted and don't forget still ongoing regulations for btc.

This isn't really any news at the moment (regarding ebay) though its a step in the right direction.

Indeed ebay has been flirting with btc for quite some time now, they even added a mining section some time ago, but this is pretty big nonetheless. Braintree was acquired by Paypal one year ago and they estimated to make more than $100m of revenue in the first year and projected to process a volume of $12b (it is quite ambitious but it seems usage grew steadily every quarter). Think if they could integrate Bitcoin into their system, instead of just accepting it, that would be quite a jump.

This if successful this is another great step for Bitcoins and will help strengthen the currency. Hopefully even more companies will follow suit and accept Bitcoins as a payment option.   Cheesy

He's talking about how Keith Rabois is on the board of Stellar. But he's also a huge Bitcoin fan as well. Stellar will help transition people to crypto like Bitcoin, so it's not bad at all.

Only thing I know about Stellar is that it was abused by many people on many different forums. And I don't think it can help much to that transition. 99% of people using Stellar were already familiar with Bitcoin.

I could be wrong but I get the feeling some companies like Ebay are attempting to secure their existing market place.  So the way I see it is that Ebay has two choices.. they get onboard early or they fall to a competitor.  Imagine if a VC startup pumped $100 million into a full blown Ebay style system that uses Bitcoin.  Miniscule selling listing fees, no more transaction fees, etc.  Ebay might be thinking "we get in now and it will put off other companies from bothering".  Something like that.
