Very cool to see.

I wonder how long it will be until the Government actually gets involved throughout the states.  By this I mean they consider it a currency, tax it(not property) and completely control it

I think it will take some time.
At this time, the financial news come in the background. There are too many other things in the world that have the attention. Once governments have more time for finacial things like the bitcoin, we are probably going to hear something about it.

Newegg in US and Canada has already accepted Bitpay. More and more industries and countries recognize bitcoin as currency, it will be convenient if Ebay and Amazon could accept this payment. I am looking forward to it.

Good news, I do a lot of shopping from ebay and amazon. Amazon clearly stated they are going to use BTC anyways, and now ebay too Smiley_

No point trying to make sense of the price. You should know that by now. And this thread wasn't really relevant anyway.

You're right, but it's nice to talk about it.  Wink

That's a positive sign for bitcoin growth. Hopefully it will rise to $2000/coin soon.

Good work ebay.

I hope so too. In my area, I am the only one who deals with digital coins. Many people declare me crazy. I still have faith in the future of Bitcoin.
I hope I'm right.

IMO this is much better news then ebay potentially accepting bitcoin for payment. eBay would likely only allow buying to pay with bitcoin but would not allow seller to get paid with bitcoin.

With regulation that is pro growth the bitcoin economy will likely grow and thrive.

Depend on the rules still. The one proposed by New york will do more harm than good and will not change the dynamic of global bitcoin flow.

Still have high hope on Texas where they don't treat bitcoin as money but only property. Compliance issues will be a lot simple.

We have to wait and see what happens.
Slowly but surely the focus be back for Bitcoin. That is certainly good news.
