I wasn't invested, and I didn't even play, but that "cooling the mark" thing doesn't work with me if I had been. Also depends on the amount. 1 BTC, maybe not so much, but 100~1000 BTC, then we're talking about making use of some skillz... (it's no secret I'm in the military.)

This is sad, these were actually the people I'd least expect it from, since they were constantly talking about how retarded it was of dicebitco.in to do what they did...

Heya Jeremy and Toad,

I'm still missing 70% of my funds, this is My_Thoughts, UserID 296. I'm still playing nice.

You can either refund the missing ~5.5 BTC to my emergency withdrawal address or this one: 1NnECbUWQrqdJUNvdRca4nBkAcB1LscZGF

Kudos to the people doxxing DMF. I am 99.99% sure that is the only reason you got (part of) your bitcoin back.

Update: I just had 0.5 BTC show up in my emergency address

https://blockchain.info/tx/58bc687c2da304bb5d3dee003c8cebb9366fb2373a8c3b2b7857ff8960eb7b4b

This is 1/100th of what they owe me...

I received 10% of my balance (roughly) to my emergency address:

https://blockchain.info/tx/c3b5d22f64ebfd8d9db248a9513975d4c696e0f0abf9acff25e9c2cee61dbc04

For those getting refund, are the bitcoin coming from 1QAitJvHj5GqzLW6pmheGXTctEwCWR9sNi as well? If so, they have only prepared 30 btc...

You guys will never get back what they fully owe you. All this they are sending out is "buffer BTC". BTC just to cover their ass momentarily and to keep you guys happy.

I am not sure if this was discussed in the thread previously. But the transaction sent to fsh had a note attached as this link: https://privatepaste.com/e49b2d1ebf
Saying this

"Official Statement:

Our accounts have been compromised, and we have suffered a large loss of data and funds.

We are working to reconstruct balance data from what backups remain. Refunds will be sent to the best of our ability.

We are sorry for the hardships our complacency and ineptitude have caused. We will not be reopening.

It was.

Still, this exact case is what cold wallets are good for. So funds DONT get lost when accounts are compromised. Otherwise it isn't a cold wallet.

If I have invested money in the site and lost it, I would probably be happy to share my refund with you.
Unfortunately to you, fortunately to me, I am not an investor and you'd better wait for tips from the others. Smiley

Exactly. A cold wallet should protect the majority of the funds in case of a compromise. If data was lost, it might be hard to determine who owns what % of the funds but the funds should be available.

I guess we all agree here that they made up the whole story of "accounts being compromised" to pretend to be victims.
