Mine for a Bit

I just found this talk.  I have 55th/s with a pool right now.  Is there a chance that it would be more profitable for me to mine solo rather than with a pool?  I currently make $3700 a month with an electric bill of $1000.  Does solo provide a better income?

Do you know how many blocks you solved during each difficulty?

I do not know how many blocks I solved during each difficulty.  I only know what the overall pool solves and I get a portion based on my Hash rate.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Shame it didn't work out.
Though 5PH isn't a stress for this pool. I'm pretty sure it could handle 500PH. Anyone got a spare 500PH to point here?

Doing some quick calculations, I'd probably need to upgrade the hardware once it hit 100PH though for optimal performance.

It's really simple, just place an order and set target pool (for example this ck-'s pool), choose your speed and you're hashing Wink ... take a look at getting started guide: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=gstarted#buyer ... it's simpler, easier and cheaper than any other place ... but please if you need more info ask in our thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=562238.0

Keep on hashing Wink

He's talking about time. 100 TH over say, 9 hours vs "unlimited" (realistically 3ph or so) over 1 hour or the equivalent amount of time it takes to burn through the same BTC.

Solo mining is alive and profitable!

As I've said numerous times before, it makes no difference to your chance of finding a block. However from a personal side, I guess you get to "watch the mining sport" for longer with less hashrate?  It's entirely up to what you prefer.

Sorry for blabbing my misconceptions in the last few pages;  But I would have believed that the devs would have implemented some sort of miner security over time to prevent the problem of withheld blocks being able to happen (incorporating a hash on the actual transaction port of the block and rolling that into the final hash to be calced keeping people from using someone else's solve hash)...  This would also help keeping the mining houses decentralized and having "control"..... but it must be more difficult to do than just that.  I am totally sorry for that guys.

CK, I have a simple question;  what type of system/pc/processor config is your pool running on?  Curious on how much it takes to run a pool of this size reliably =)

Congrats to the big winner.   I had a 1.9B share last round;  the biggest hash that S3 has found since I bought it a month and a half ago.

Link to my batch and script resources here.
