I have the distinct feeling a new process is in the works.. But I doubt we would see those technologies emerge, with good reason, before the Great Halving. So, I think it's a great time to start organizing your assets in anticipation of cloud/mining equip investment , but I'm not so sure about right now. Seems premature to invest now knowing a new technology is going to affect existing value in such a huge way. We will see  Grin

I thought you would be familiar with delayed blocks by now, happens often. They do eventually get credited.

Did we ever hear what the big surprise was?  Or was it just coupons being issued?  Seems like a silly thing to take the exchange offline for, for a couple of days...

To be fair, I think they may have done a little background style updatery, but that was the most anticlimactic announcement ever. I suspect they were gonna say something else, that may have fell through, and threw that up (discount) so their wasn't an awkward silence. I'm not complaining, I'm just confused  Grin

Yea agreed, I think they are starting to get nervous about the halving and some of their competitors, hence why they are trying to offload as much product as possible.  I am just not comfortable buying any hash currently until the halving evens out and I can make a proper assessment.

Well, unless someone wants to mine shitcoins or rent it, the S7 will probably make a good door stop after July. I guess it is possible that the BTC prices doubles soon after the halving event. Of course, that would cause lots of renewed interest in mining and the S7 will be obsolete soon after anyway. Let's hope the engineers at Bitmain got their hands on a 16nm chip from Bitfury and are working overtime to reverse engineer it.

Why give it away as lottery, they could just drop the price really low for people to get in. Oversupply, maybe?

I am planing to put some money in hashnest cloudmining site. peoples giving positive feedback about it.
personally I don't believe in cloudmining sites. because most of them went ponzi. but something doing is better then nothing.
what you think guys. how much should I invest first?

Something is not always better than nothing. At this point I wouldn't jump into cloud mining especially not much knowledge on the subject or the platform.

IMO now is not the best time; I would wait until the S9 is announced and preorder is opened.  When this happens the market for S7 will go way down.  Do the math now and find out what price is most likely profitable for you; the S9 will have high markup initially, and the S7 exodus should drive the price down enough to make it the better buy.

Presently there´s 1,322,848,711 GH/s chasing about $1.5 million worth of bitcoin per day. So, I doubt that there´s much money to be made in mining. Electricity sales, mining gear etc. is where you want to be.
