how to get free hash and what type of algo scrypt  x13  x15 ?? ty  Smiley

Their promotion is for umisoo hash power, which mines bitcoin only. Other than that, currently you can only trade scrypt hashing power in the platform.

I don't get why all the newbies are promoting this.  They can't be all _that_ ignorant of ROI calculations.

Hello Bitmain,

I see you have uploaded the latest cgminer source code here:  https://github.com/bitmaintech/cgminer

Can you please tell everyone how to upgrade their S2 & S3 miners to this latest version with the security fixes? Or are you releasing a new firmware for the S2 & S3 that will include this cgminer version?

Many Thanks, IYFTech.

Hello IYFTech,

Look this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=702653.0

More exactly at the point: 4º) Configuration

There is written this: The S3 is standalone and does not require an external controller.

Also you can see this: https://www.bitmaintech.com/files/download/Antminer%20S3%20Manual_EN_2014.7.16.pdf

Happy mining!  Smiley

Erm.....I don't think you understand what I'm saying. The S2 & S3 use an outdated version of cgminer that contains severe security vulnerabilities including the "stratum redirect" issue, which Bitmain promised to upgrade to the latest version over 3 weeks ago. What makes things worse is the fact that Bitmain have just released a new firmware update for the S3 that still uses the same cgminer version (3.12) containing the same security vulnerabilities & outdated, inefficient code - despite promising the community that it would update the miner to the latest version & thus eliminating this vulnerability in the next firmware release.

I appreciate your input, but I am very familiar with the workings of Bitmain products - as I own 24 of them, 8 S2's & 16 S3's, so won't be needing links to guides.

Thanks  Wink

Statistic informarion and balance at https://www.hashnest.com/miners is froozen?!
Whats problem?

that information is not the real-time reflection of their actual hashing power, at least mine is like that. the 15min value is always far below the hash power I bought, and 1day stats is always high.

once you put everything in the "cloud", you lose control...

I have bought and sold S3/BTC hash. For a small profit, actually.
Buy some and try it.
Don't buy off the first screen.
Go to       mining rigs / ants3BTC    for buy and sell.

I seen before they said they wanted to market this to americans since we buy alot at cex.io. I just dont see why the forums and some of registration is in chinese. I for one would ofcourse love to see the cost drop down some more. also another factor that makes cex.io so popular is that we can trade GHS whenever we want at any amount. We can even sell cex.io vouchers like on ebay.com or amazon.com and alot of people like that.

At this moment, my miner status shows a negative number in "unassigned earnings".

I did not expect this to happen before a few months at least.
Come on, the subscription is not even over yet.
This has to be a bug in stats, otherwise it would be unacceptable.
Please follow-up.

Mining for fun.

So i went to the " miner section " clicked on Antminer S2 and bought some GHS . I jut want to know what is the difference between clicking on individual miners like S1, S2 or S3 and buying them there instead of buying them right from the front page? Also weird question where it says "Fees/Earnings " 60%  does that mean 60% will go to fees like maintanance and electricity OR does it mean i will get 60% and they get 40% ? Someone please answer this questions if you can i am thinking of switching atleast 2 btc worth here from cex.io.

60% means that is how much the fees/maintenance is. Fees/Earnings = 60/100 = .6 or 60%. I am assuming you are looking at the S1 miners. I know this seems high but compared to cex it actually is lower. Hopefully at some point it will go down but we need the price of bitcoin to rise for this to happen. Each difficulty you will see this percent increase.

ok thanks for clarification so i see S1 says like 80% S2 = 40% and S3 = 36% so i will got with S2 or S3. I do not see any options to to buy partial GHS and that kinda sucks i like how cex.io lets people buy as little as 0.01GHS. Also do you know if they will ever offer a option to create and sell and trade vouchers like cex.io does cause at times i actually buy GHS on amazon.com and ebay.com when price is good.
