where is the option to have the miner shipped? Did not know that

Bitmain Janet I think mentioned it above in the thread, but it is also on the forums at hashnest I believe.

Also they state it right in the description for the new s4 units that if they go unprofitable the s4 can definitely be redeemed + shipping.

Not sure, but I would strongly guess it would be open like cex is doing.  The thing with cex is their equipment is antique they need a btc price of 320 usd to run at break even.

At least with umisoo we are still break even at 220.   Just need to hold that or hit it a few times until the next adjustment of difficulty goes way down.

Like I said if it doesn't I basically get free s2 machines for the cost of shipping.  Then I can plug them in as my power is cheap enough for them to break even and wait for the difficulty to plummet like it will if btc/usd stays this low.

1. How to process the hardware when the maintenance fee equals to the mining earnings?
Will power off S2 when the maintenance fee equals to the mining earnings, and then reserve these hardware for 10 days. If the maintenance fee is back to lower than mining earnings during this reservation period of 10 days, we will power on hardware again. Otherwise, Umisoo market based on S2 will be closed permanently after the reservation period of 10 days.

2. If user can redeem hardware?
Sure, user is able to request to redeem hardware with its own handling fee and shipping cost.
Please be informed:
User has to redeem hardware within 15 days after Umisoo market based on S2 closed permanently, if you want to redeem hardware. Hardware will be discarded after this period of 15 days and the hashing contract will be terminated automatically.
While user is able to request to redeem hardware at any time before market closed.

3. If user can request to redeem hardware, no matter how many hashrates it buys ?
Redeem is not acceptable if your hashrates are less than one Th/s. Only the integer multiple of 1 Th/s are allowed to redeem the full units of hardware. If you have hashrate 1Th/s, then you can request to redeem one S2 including case, PSU, control board. If you have hashrate 1.2Th/s, you also can request to redeem one S2, but can not redeem hardware for the 0.2Th/s.

got this from their forum.     its 1th  per redemption, so if u plan to redeem, make sure u have 1th even  for each machine

You know that is another good point, you are not only getting the s2 but a PSU for the 44.00 usd.

Not sure if they would still be enermax 1000+ units.  I think that is what my first s2 came with here at home.

Sounds like they are going to do it exactly like they did the s3.  You buy a unit and select umisoo.

They then credit your account with however many ghs that unit has. s4 are about 2 th per unit?  They also say can take 72 hours to get it converted.

Just remember the stats they gave are not too much better then the s3 units..  S4 Market will open a total of 2200TH/s generated by 1100 units of S4 while consuming 0.7W per GH/s.

The s3 units were .8w I think.

Anyways, those units will probably be way overpriced but the risk of them going offline will be a lot less short term.   If btc/usd drops where it makes everything but the latest s5 units obsolete, difficulty is going to plummet.  The amount of usd you get per btc will be a lot lower but when the difficulty adjusts, and all old equipment goes offline, you will make more btc per unit of hashing power.
YEAH i seen that 72 hours...... not happy lol

I can tell you one thing the s4 will be way overpriced.

If the s2 are still even at 95% maintenance you will make more off the s2 at this price then you will off the s4 considering the s4 will be 10 x the btc per hash.

The maintenance savings of the s4 compared to how many more times it costs then the s2 will not be worth it.

That is IF s2 is still under 100% maintenance.  I am guessing short term btc/usd recovers making s2 a great buy at this price.  If it doesn't the difficulty will plummet next change and put the s2 back under 100% maintenance.

Free money as long as we don't crash a lot more from here.  In that case be ready to have some s2 wth psu shipped to your residence.  For me that is fine since I have low cost electric.

[ANN] Jan 14th, 2014 - Umisoo, ANTS2, & ANTS3 Hardware Powered Off

Today, at 08:05 GMT, all Hashnest Umisoo, ANTS2, & ANTS3 units were powered off, as their maintenance fee became higher than their payout. This procedure was previously outlined in this post https://forum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/969. At the moment, we are examining the situation to determine what further action will be taken. We will be doing our best to keep you updated with the latest information. As long as the machines are switched off, there will be no new revenue payments from these machines. Further, we will collect no maintenance fee on the Umisoo, ANTS2, and ANTS3 during this time.

Note: GH/s trading for these units will continue as normal. Users may still buy or sell mining contracts for the Umisoo, ANTS2, and ANTS3 during this time.

Well I hope you have enough space, cheap electrical capacity and cooling. Because when Bitmain shuts down the S2s in a few days because of zero profitability, your only option will be to have them shipped to you. Either that or completely lose your investment.

That's 30 dusty old S2s you'll have to find space for. Or sell them on eBay for $50 each.  Sad

Oh, and you'll have to pay shipping on those S2s too... if you actually want them.

I incline to think btc price would recover .

Dont' you think than the fall would be cause by the stolen bitstamp BTC dump on the market , amplified by a panic sell ?

What do you think ?
