This story is fake. Hacker is so dumb person. He didn't understand anything. I am sure that the hacker is from Russia. Russians is traditional dumb persons. Only brute force without any sense of logic. I wish him good luck to find the real id of Satoshi. He will take him some more time Cheesy

Why didn't anyone yet translated that top E-mail that's in Chinese? It's dated 6 december 2122 maybe? The date the last bitcoin will be mined? Anyone that could translate what it says? Must be some fun/clue in there. Or did i mis the translation earlier in this thread?

weird thing, it's not correct date sort. Check that, email sorted date order but first mail's date interesting.

It's simply the newest E-mail sorted on Date on top, so this E-mail from the future must hold something interesting or at least fun. Anyone that can translate this for us? It seems important!

The email is indeed from December 2122. The subject line says the last Bitcoin block has been found, all Bitcoins have been mined.
The subject line also states the Bitcoin price in USD, which is 298 followed by a lot of zero

If Satoshi was alive and was trying to be anonymous:

- he would have changed all of his passwords, after finding out that his accounts were compromised back when the "I am not ..." mesage was posted.
- after all this gmx mess, he would certainly have more reason to change his passwords and let the people know that it was not him sending the messages, but a random hacker.
- he would have deleted all emails that could compromise him and he would have changed the secondary email.
- he would have changed his email accounts and never would use his old ones anymore.

This story on wired.com: http://www.wired.com/2014/09/satoshi/ also says, that the hacker knows Satoshi's identity and that he was actually knowing that SN is still alive and that SN was still using his satoshin gmx account after his disappearance.

So,

If Satoshi was dead

- it explains why he never moved a Satoshi from his wallet after disappearance
- it explains why he suddenly stopped all of his activity
- it explains why he never changed his passwords after beeing compromised by hackers

I pretty much believe that SN died back in the days when he disappeared suddenly.

Interesting is, that in both occasions, the "I am not ..." posting AND this wired article is indicating that Satoshi Nakamoto is still alive.

Some Questions:

If SN was actually dead, why would the hacker do what he is doing after compromising his accounts a long time ago?

How could a hacker, that doesn't seem to act very smart, hack into Satoshis email account after hordes of hackers worldwide were trying this for years?

All this p2pfoundation hack AND hacking gmx AND the wired story about selling Satoshis identity for 12000USD makes no sense to me. He could get ALOT more from SN if he really knows his identity and SN was alive and trying to hide. Is he really that dumb?

Doesn't it look a lot more like sombody is desperately trying to let the people think, that Satoshi Nakamoto was still alive?

Wait, let me put my tinfoilhat on, before I continue .....................................................

I wonder if he had any information regarding any of his private keys stored on his email account.

I checked GMX TOS and it doesn't say anything about accounts being automatically closed after a certain amount of time inactive. It does say that they are able to close your account for any or no reason.

That would be utterly insane if he had anything pertaining to his private keys stored in his inbox.   That would be serious bad news...

He wouldn't be soliciting BTC25 or presumably selling dox in darknet if that were the case.

I doubt even the master account had the real info of Satoshi. If it were, the hacker could have worked something out with him directly, considering there would be other ways to reach out to him with that info e.g he is one of the famous cryptographers/academician/GCHQ employee  etc.
