We have notified all exchanges, pools and any 3rd party providers of services for MonetaryUnit of the wallet update. Please spread the word. 5pm UTC Saturday 31st January, mandatory wallet update.
What do you have to do? Backup and save your wallet.dat file BEFORE you upgrade to the new wallet. We will release the wallet links on Saturday. Once you have upgraded, REPLACE the existing wallet.dat with your backup version.
That's it!
As discussed, this is to address the issue which makes sending large volumes of MonetaryUnit quite a headache. The value you can send continues to decrease, making it very frustrating, reducing the usability of the coin, and putting off potential new comers to MUE.
Also of course, the new wallet has a fantastic new design, allows in-wallet pool mining, and QR codes.
Please help support the transition by mining to muepool.com or goldmin.es which will both be updated to the new wallet.

I hope this formats right (I didn't have time to make a nice table).
I thought this was interesting, it shows how quickly the rate of inflation of MonetaryUnit will slow down over time. Hopefully, with your support, and increased adoption, and the healthy organic growth of MUE, this indicates a good future growth in the price.
Certainly the big drop in inflation over the next year shows it could be a potentially fantastic time to buy MUE (currently 12 sats)

Just a heads up, there will be a delay migrating the MUEcasino.com games over to the new wallet (our game coder has gone AWOL ) Until we have them re-instated they will be unsupported and not promoted. Thanks

If you can avoid it, please don't sent any MUE from/to any wallets during this transition phase. e.g from exchange to android, web wallet to windows wallet, etc etc We're just upgrading the pools to the new version. If you want to migrate from source to help with mining during the transition phase, source code is here; https://github.com/MonetaryUnit/MUE-Src

Both pools have been updated. A note from our pool dev
" wasnt too bad. a few little notes for people when compiling linux daemon:
cd MUE-Src mkdir obj cd leveldb chmod +x build_detect_platform
this will avoid the missing obj directory error, and the chmod +x will avoid the build detect permissions error"

We are completing the work for the 3rd party services such as the Twitter tipbot, Android app, web wallet. Will advise when they are complete.
Mac, Windows and Linux QT compiles are being worked on and should be available shortly.
Please refrain from using any wallets at the moment, including exchanges, to avoid the risk of losing your coins.
Many thanks

You can push these to git to avoid future issue

Apologies for the delays with some of the wallets. Right now, the Linux 32 & 64 bit should work - let me know if there are any issues. The web wallet should work www.MUEwallet.comThe Bleutrade exchange wallet should work. The source code is fine - https://github.com/MonetaryUnit/MUE-SrcWhat should not be used are; Previous Windows & MAC wallets (new versions should be available today). Android app wallet (should be updated in the next day or so) Twitter tipbot Any of the other exchanges other than Bleutrade (waiting for confirmation from them) None of these have yet migrated to the new wallet and there is a risk of lost coins. If anyone has incurred any losses, we will help. Now I have a minute to give feedback I can explain why things haven't gone as smoothly as I'd hoped. We were ready for 5pm UTC yesterday. Mac, win & linux compiles were ready. Source code and github were ready. All the other 3rd party services were notified in time and ready to migrate. At the last minute (literally) a potentially fatal flaw in the code was discovered by the ever vigilant "earlz". Essentially, the code allowed the potential for a 93gb transaction to be submitted to the network, draining all nodes of memory & resources, and killing the network. I made the decision to commit the required change to github, and proceed with the migration to the new wallet. Hashrate had been secured for the pools to protect the network, and as we have a small, committed community, it seemed best to get the process done. Thanks for your patience and support
