This will allow many new miners the opportunity to use existing "incompatible" mining hardware to receive MUE rewards for mining.
It also allows support of the price on the exchanges.

Have you downloaded the version above with coin control?
You will need to send coins from this wallet TO this wallet again, so it can combine all the small transactions.
I suggest sending 50 MUE at a time for a few dozen times, then try 100 MUE, then 500 MUE, then 1000, then 2000, 5000 etc
See how you get on.
This is a known issue with older QT wallets and is why we are addressing it with these new revisions to the wallet software.

this is normal tx size check not a hanging

Yes exactly about the Tx size
it's when you mine on p2pool and get some little transactions
try to send them to your own wallet and then you will be able to send big amount of coins.

Other than CPU mining it's been a year since I did home mining, and I have a 450gh Antminer S3 due next week so I can mine MUE on our multipool.

yaamp's sha256 profits are extremely low most of the time

I think their sha profits are low probably because of the low hash rate...we may be able to improve that for them
It's all good fun though, and as you say, it may be that I use another method...we'll see

20 Million MUE was "distributed" through faucets, giveaways, promotions, rewards etc etc etc
That currently accounts for nearly 40% of the current liquidity, and that, in response to your as always "positive" quips, is indeed "wealth distribution".
If people decided to dump them, or chose not to mine or invest in the sell wall which I personally promoted and advertised well in advance of launching, then I cannot make them.
