64 bit download of new wallet gives 32 bit wallet.......is this correct?  did we lose the original mue dev?  sorry is silly question, haven't had much time for crypto these past several months.

Using bootstrap.dat to speed up initial sync
The latest official bootstrap.dat files are only found at github. Last Block: 1186562

Brand New Installations:
Before launching MonetaryUnit, move your downloaded bootstrat.dat(.tar.xz) to your MonetaryUnit datadir and extract if needed:

Windows  

%APPDATA%\MonetaryUnit\

Linux  

~/.monetaryunit/

Mac OSX  

~/Library/Application Support/MonetaryUnit/

Then start MonetaryUnit. Qt users will see "Importing blocks from disk" along with a progress bar at the bottom left of the window. This process currently takes my SSD-equipped laptop around 25 minutes , plus additional time to sync blocks found after the bootstrap was created.


Existing Users:
You may also use bootstrap.dat to speed up syncing your existing, outdated blockchain by adding

-loadblock=/path/to/bootstrap.dat

to your launch command.

Faster Sync:
You can use the following to increase the dbcache if your system resources allow it. The bootstrapping process currently takes me 15 minutes using 1Gb dbcache.

Once the bootstrapping is complete, the file will be renamed to bootstrap.dat.old. You may delete it, or leave it and rename to bootstrap.dat if you need to use it again.

I'm glad you got it synced. Having a proper bootstrap makes all the difference in getting set up quickly. Assuming port 29948 is open and correctly routed to your computer, your connection count should increase as more people upgrade from older clients.

Great! Thanks for sharing this information. This may come in handy for Raspberry Pi users to run MUE nodes. I have 4 of them and I am planning to use 1 as a full MUE node and the other 3 to stake other alt coins. Will try this at home.

The mining equipment would be self hosted and for starting, it will be consisted of several Raspberry Pi 2 mining MUE with their quad core CPUs and then we will set up custom mining rigs with several GPUs. 

I think MUEMiner would be the perfect name for this service. Right now, I will start to make up the site and then the rest would come later.

I would strongly suggest you look to start based on GPU hardware. A pi may hit 100kh+ and imho is unlikely to attract any customers compared to just a single GPU hitting 8mh+.

That is true. I think it is better to begin with GPU mining rigs. I'm looking to start with an affordable motherboard with 2 to 3 GPUs to start with (probably some AMD Radeons) and then go to better and expensive GPUs/motherboards. After the site is ready, I will set up a crowdfunding for the necessary equipment. I will try to be as transparent as possible when it comes to mining payouts and equipment.

The new wallet works great on my current Windows 10 setup. I like how MonetaryUnit is going in terms of development and community, but sometimes I wonder why the price is so low? Maybe next year would be a very bright one for MUE and perhaps there would be an increase in price and demand. I have also noticed that there has been low trading volume is exchanges such as Bittrex and Bleutrade (you can check it out on Coinmarketcap) For now, it is best to buy MUE as they are dirt cheap now. It could be a great way to profit once price goes all the way to the moon! 

By the way, I would like to announce that there will be a brand new MonetaryUnit Cloud Mining Service where you can mine MUE with custom built GPU mining rigs and more. I have been working on the site over the last few days and I'm hoping to have it ready before new year.

After the site is set up, there will be a crowdfunding in order to establish all the necessary equipment for mining. Donators would get the chance to receive discounts on mining hashpower, as well as be eligible to receive 3 months of free cloud mining.
