As manager of the MonetaryUnit cloud mining service (or MUECloud), I would like to announce that the crowdfunding campaign is about to begin. The final steps are being made by preparing the design and functionality of the crowdfunding page for users to donate funds. Investors will get the chance to qualify for 3 months of free cloud mining and/or the ability to receive exclusive discounts when purchasing any amount of hashrate.

For the crowdfunding, we will be accepting BTC or even Paypal (can also pay with credit/debit cards) as payment methods. We could add MUE as an accepted payment method, but due to the fact that it is not accepted yet by most merchants, makes it somewhat difficult to use those funds directly from raised MUE funds and buy mining equipment (and exchanging MUE to BTC or fiat is not ideal due to exchange fees and such)

However, when the crowdfunding would be over and we will officially launch our cloud mining service, we will gladly accept MUE or BTC as payment methods to purchase mining hashpower. You will also get the ability to receive earnings from mining hardware either in BTC or in MUE. If you choose to receive your earnings in MUE, you will get an additional bonus (around 10 to 12% more).

In the meantime, if you choose to visit the site (http://muecloud.xyz) you will not see anything yet, as I am busy working with the crowdfunding page.

I guess that I have announced the launch of the crowdfunding campaign too early. The site and everything is all ready for launch, however I am having issues setting up the Bitcoin payment gateway into the site. Because of this, I have not been able to publish the crowdfund yet, but I hope to have all this sorted out during this week. It should take no more than 3 to 4 days. Sorry for any inconvenience.

As of now, my partner is working on making the StartJoin Campaign and we are getting everything ready to make this dream become a reality. Never thought about making a campaign in StartJoin (and also the existence of StartCoin which is new to me). I will look more into this and will post here for updates related to MUECloud.

Good idea. I will put it back online as soon as I have the time to do so today. There is a lot of work to be done in making the Crowdfunding Campaign in StartJoin. Good idea. I will put it back online as soon as I have the time to do so today. There is a lot of work to be done in making the Crowdfunding Campaign in StartJoin. I think my first thought was that it seems a lot, but at the same time, there is significant work involved in getting this set up, so if that's is what is needed then that is what is needed.

It's a bit of a catch 22 isn't, you need a certain figure to at least get started, but that figure may put people off.

I haven't completed a project on StartJoin, so I'm not even sure if there are limits on what you can request the funding level to be?
Perhaps as part of your campaign page you can give detail of the different levels of funding and what would be achieved maybe?
I wonder whether getting a successful initial crowdfund is actually more important that trying to get the "whole" amount first time round?

So, just thinking out loud here, maybe you could put a "minimum" of $1000 (as far as I am aware campaigns can be "over funded"?).
In your campaign page you can put some detail e.g
1) $1000 funded = basic working home page but no hardware, a further campaign for hardware will have to be created
2) $2000 funded = homepage with referral system and 6 mh of hosted mining hardware
3) $3000 funded = homepage, referral system, multiple payment options and 12 mh of hardware
4) $4000 funded = as 3 but with 30 mh of hardware
5) $5000 funded = as 3 but with 60mh of hardware & Android App

It might be worth going into how much is going to be re-invested into more hardware, where the hardware will be hosted etc
Don't forget, "idle" equipment can always be rented out on the various rig rental sites??
