Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Are you still getting this now? We had to restart it a couple of times to get the Scrypt one working so you may have got the message then. The X11 is definitely up and running right now and people are mining. Let us know if you're still getting this problem.

It did finally connect but nothing but rejects. To clear things up is it X11 or X13? First post says X13 pool says X11

The coin is an X13 PoW. However, you're not mining Opal on the pool now, it's a multipool which mines X11 coins, then trades them for Opal.

So, to clarify, you need to use X11 miners on this pool.

Got it. Wasnt thinking about the multipool part. Im connected now.. getting a few accepted shares and then the error then shares and the errror. Not sure what the deal is but the pool is registering my shares so I can live with it. No more rejects at this point. Thanks for the info.

one question  how often does  multi-pool pay out  , like once day or twice a day ?

Usually whenever a block is found and confirmed - although it can take a while to receive the required confirms, then process the trades and withdraw the coins etc..

For those of us running a headless / command line version of opal.

Is there any youtube video in the works to show how the new qt wallet works, the current features, and future features discussed?

If I'm in chat with someone and want to point them to a video about opal, a demo video would be really nice.

When I've been mining, I typically get my shares within a few hours, but I was throwing a fair amount of rental hash at it.

Huge apologies for the Multipool - we had a catastrophic server failure. This is also the same server that the IRC tip bot is running on.

We are in the process of setting up a new server on a new provider. All coins and outstanding pool payments etc are saved and will be moved over. It will take a little time to get the new server up and running again but hopefully not too long. We will post updates here.
