Dev just told me this is an X11 Coin

this is not posted anywhere in the OP.

Sorry -I only support regular scrypt coins at this time on my pool and do not invest in X11 coins.

Best of luck

Your welcome! Best of luck to you too. Shame I never posted coin algo in the OP - thought it is pretty irrelevant since CraigsCoin does not have any mining rewards.

why would you want to add a 100% POS coin to your pool anyway?

and why scrypt is superior to x11 when you consider investing? Just out of curiosity, there's probably some lack of knowledge on my part

Yeah that is interesting. If it's not a pow coin. How does it make a difference. I really don't know this. Are x11 POS coin somehow not as good as Scrypt POS coins. It doesn't make sense. But I'm not a real tech guy so I guess there could be something I don't know. Just never heard something like this said before. I would say, to my knowledge you should focus on the dev and his plans, aside from the algo on a coin that is not POW

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=186785
Here is the link to my trust settings here on forum. This trust system is very unfair. I make good on every deal Ive ever made. I had many, many deals as you can see and I never scammed anyone. All it takes is a random account to give you negative trust and youre screwed. Tomatocage has never even talked to me ever but when the random acct hit me with negative trust, Tomatocage came right behind him and marked neg trust again so obviously he was the one who did it. You can look at Tomatocage trust and see how many of his compeditors at the currency exchange thread he labeled scammers. I never scammed anyone. My trust was green over 20 before this. I hope it never happens to you because the mods cant help you.

you can only mine X11 coins with GPU's - they're asic resistant (at the current time: LOL) and have a very limited audience since people are abandoning GPU's.

How does that may be an issue when there is no mining rewards?

I am pretty sure x11 has its asics
and asics are a bad thing. You know why? Because asic owners do not want to contribute to a coin. They will only leech money off of it to pay for their hardware. They dump coins and drop its price discouraging those who support the coin and may be useful for its development and promotion

this coin however be it scrypt, sha256 or scrypt-N have no mining rewards so there is no point to mine it anyway

yes - you are right - Asics were created by the DEVIL!!!!!

dude - please take a look at how asic miners have contributed to IPO's on coins like syscoin etc in the past few months.

don't what you're smoking but it must be good...

OMG!!!    Grin

btw: there are more asics miners that any other type of miner (with the exception of BTC) - so this guys creates a wallet that he wants people to use for buying and selling like Craigslist (who will probably send him a cease & desist letter soon anyway for exploiting their name) but he makes the wallet X11?

but he is to be commended for going through POD - which all developers should do - he should make the coin minable if he wants more people to embrace it.

could you please explain how asics may help a coin? The only thing they do is dump coins that they mine until its profitable. When coins price is dumped to the ground they move on to the next coin

seeing at what state syscoin is now (price dropped by 300%) I still cannot see how asics help a coin

I do not really want certain people to embrace it. Honestly what I see in current mining and pools business is scam above scam. Not going to point a finger but certain pools simply rips off their miners, and there is no way miner can protect himself except one - do ot participate in mining whenevere there is no need for that. Speaking of case&desist letter - will you care to explain me what reason CraigsList have to do that? I mean I honestly heared it several times from different people, but nobody ever provided a single law excerpt.

Will you care to put some ground under your words, or should people treat all your words as equaly groundless as your case and desist statement? This may be important because you providing pool services - you make promises to your customers - thay have to know that you are not just throwing words in the air like that.

Thank you.

I mean seriously... that is not an argument. You were speaking about case and desist, how it is relevant to my name? Can you prove your words with facts rather then questions? Because it sounds like you just throwed out random assumption that seemed relevant to you without doing any research of the facts. That is not very respectful approach. Because if you did just throw random statement, how your customers can be sure that your promises are not just another random groundless statement? I believe that is very important. As important as to admit that you are wrong, when you wrong instead of continue pointless argument.

Oh, c'mon. One doesn't need a law degree to see how this is going to tick off Craigslist! You are obviously trying to rip them off as this coin is for classified ads, for god's sake. What is wrong with you?

Even if, as you say, nothing can be done to stop the blockchain once launched, it will be irrelevant for investors in the short to medium term at least. Craigslist can sue you for every last BTC raised and more. And even if you ultimately "win" and are allowed to profit off classified ads, using their exact name (highly doubtful), the bad publicity for the coin will have investors bailed out long before. And that's not even discussing the press reaction once it gets a hold of the fact that this is another drug coin.

Do you seriously think that one can just call a coin say, "Amazon" coin and sell books on the blockchain? "Budweiser" coin and for a beer coin?

Seriously, what are you people thinking? The idea is decent (although ads lasting forever seems stupid), if not fully fleshed out. But to name it CraigsCoin and then sound indignant that people might think that a very strange choice, clearly means that not a lot of thought has gone into this venture.

I like IPO/ICOs and am a regular investor, but no thanks on this one.

Because if you did just throw random statement, how your customers can be sure that your promises are not just another random groundless statement? I believe that is very important. As important as to admit that you are wrong, when you wrong instead of continue pointless argument.

What do ya know a mining pool operator wants the coin to be POW go figure Grin Grin

If people are to embrace it, then it should be POW? Come on man? Does every coin need to be there for you to make money off the top?

Hey, I mine coins all the time, but as a business man, that runs a pool, you are seriously lacking a little bit of class coming on here and fudding up the place.

Really?

And then you say the coin is no good because it's a POS coin with a x11 algo? Baseless.

You have got to be kidding me  Roll Eyes

Thank you.

Explain me then how come wal-mart never sued shopmart drugmart and whole bunch of other -marts (google for more examples)?
They obviously have exactly same similarities as CraigsCoin have with CraigsList. That renders all your arguments irrelevant.

And sorry, but yes, you need law degree if you want other people to take your law threats serious.

On the other note - I wonder how hard it it for you to google through actual laws? Why do you stand up and state thigs that is clearly false like you just did instead of doing actual research?! I'm Russian - I'm supposed to be bad at US laws, but what is your excuse?

Regardless - your idea with selling books in blockchain is brilliant. That would be a blast!

Ummm....well, your English needs a bit of work. The reason for all of those "marts" and why they are all allowed is the "mart" is just a way of saying market. One can't trademark "mart". If you wanted to call your coin "mart" coin or "socks" coin or "television" coin, you are free as a bird to do so. But, if you call your coin "Sony" coin to sell televisions on the blockchain, then you are in trouble.

How is this so difficult to understand?

Your insouciance on this issue may appear to you as coming across as a smart and witty guy. But, it is making you sound ignorant, and worse it is giving potential investor's some insight into the level of care you have for this coin.

And just to give you another free tip on the law, one can call a coin "Craigs" coin and if it has absolutely nothing to do with classified ads, then you are free and clear. Again, why are these concepts so hard for you to grasp?
