The real scammers get away while somebody like me ( registered since May 10 2011 and 1800+ posts and did deals of 100 BTC worth on here perfectly ) gets humiliated for not giving a damn refund and censored like a good comrade Angry

See, this just pisses me off. Stop writing off other people's issues with you as unreasonable and ascribing them to communist ideals (isn't that what the comrade reference was for?) and censorship. You do not have the freedom to steal from other people.

Even the most hardcore (left-)libertarian or anarcho-capitalist (neither of which describe me, I should add) still believes in strong property rights underpinning a productive society. You acquired possession of smart1985's coins; not ownership of them. But you are acting as if they belong to you now.

Agreed.

Bulanula, I got a deal for you.

You pay 22.5 BTC and your scammer tag gets removed.

This is a great opportunity!

Quite funny. So my reputation ( totally thrashed ) and my 10 hours or so dealing with this issue and my BTC-E account is worth only 2.5 BTC ?

I would have thought it was negative by now or worth 0 at the most Cheesy

Find it quite funny that all the donators and VIPs are on smart1985's side and some of the other "normal" people are saying not a scammer.

When do I get that avatar ? It would be cool if the scammer tag could float around my posts just when the Cosby exploit was here Grin

If I understand correctly, you only owe him 22.5 BTC because he meant to send you 2.5?

If anyone, it’s actually you who should be paying us for the trouble caused. Smiley

Do you want your reputation back or not? Pay up.

You don't know how to argue, do you?

Let's examine your statement:

Code:
Find it quite funny that all the donators and VIPs are on smart1985's side

What does being on smart1985's side entail? That you should give him back his money? Okay.

Code:
and some of the other "normal" people are saying not a scammer.

But wait-- does thinking that you have money that doesn't belong to you also mean thinking you're a scammer?

Do you see how your loaded words are designed to continue to fool yourself and rationalize to yourself?

To anyone with a grasp of the English language, it's quite obvious you what you're trying to do.

You're also wrong. I'm a donator, and I don't think you're a scammer. You're wrong. Wrong.

What I do think is that you're an unethical shitstain and the type of person we should be weary of.

Good luck lying to yourself.

Write it off as a big donator conspiracy against you, but I honestly don't give a fuck about who smart1985 is. If you look back, I made many similar arguments against the asshole who stole 500 of phantomcircuit's coins several months ago in a similar erroneous transfer.

My donator status means that I gave 10 coins to theymos to keep the forum running. The secret donator forum is a graveyard and we mostly don't know each other or speak to each other.

But if you want to keep thinking that because I sent $50 to a stranger on the internet who provides a worthy service, somehow I was inducted into a secret cabal of bulanula-haters, go ahead. It's also worth noting that like Matthew, I don't think you're a scammer. You're a thief, instead Smiley

I am not on anyone's side. I think Blitz's compromise was just. smart1985 did make a goof. The qt client warns before finally sending. He does bear some of the fault. Tell you what, just to make this go away and in case this is just a principle issue:

Send 20 BTC here: 1EdQQb6LtHSj5xyXcfKBJurkxaQRGYsyxF

I will throw in the other 2.5 BTC and pay smart1985 22.5 BTC.

Take it or leave it, onetime offer.

BTC_Bear, let's show this turd how it's done in this community so that he'll grow up one day and get a clue and be a functional part of the community instead of a whining turd.

I pledge 2.5 BTC to smart1985 so that I have a reason to hate OP for the rest of my life.

bulanula, you've always been a gigantic douche, but this just puts the icing on the cake.  Dick.

Quite funny. So my reputation ( totally thrashed )

What on Earth makes you think you had a good reputation before this?  All you do is pop up in random threads, spout some random bullshit (or troll the shit out of the subject), then wander off and do the same elsewhere.   Your "reputation" is that of a weirdo.  Now we can add scammer AND dirtbag to that (and yes I do consider you a scammer for doing what you've done.  You might not have intentionally conned the guy out of the BTC, but receiving it (quite clearly from him) in error and then refusing to give it back is just as bad).

Wow. This is pretty lame. I've double sent bitcoins to buyers a few times and when I've requested them back they've always returned them promptly. On the other side, I've had people send too many bitcoins to me and I've sent them right back when requested.

If a shopkeeper handed you too much change in the store by accident and then noticed it and asked for it back would you also then say "No! It was your fault! I'm not the scammer here you gave me too much money even though I never asked for it!" What if they set off the alarm and chased you as you ran out of the store, calling you a thief? Would you run and yell back, "It's your fault, I never asked for it"?

Thankfully, the vast majority of people I deal with are actually honest enough to refund mistaken transfers, despite what socialists and original sin Christians want us to believe about human nature.

It's been proven that bulanula was overpaid, so he's ethically obligated to return the extra BTC (minus a few percent for the inconvenience, perhaps).

I admit that "scammer" might not be the most accurate term, but creating a new tag would be inconvenient and "scammer" is close enough.

Hey... i'm "normal" and it's pretty obvious to me that you're a scammer.  If you dropped money on the street and it flew into someone's pocket, are they entitled to that money because you didn't intentionally want to give it to them?  The amount is irrelevant to the ethics of it.

stop your pissing around.

I went to the store once and bought something worth less than 5 dollars and accidentally gave the clerk 2 5's. He returned 1 and then gave the change.

What you did is steal, and the solution is as simple as everyone else in the goddamn thread has said. Pay back the 22.5. its fucking easy. Get over it you pussy.

So is getting new forum software, I see !

Why not give me this caution tag here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=77802.20 Huh

This was in no way a scam.

Guy overpaid, I refuse to give refund to assholes that attack me publicly and can't read numbers properly, I give him service instead of money back.

There still is no scam. Maybe the 25 BTC was a donation for all I care. I did not force him to send me anything. I may be an asshole but he started it.

I am not a scammer and the scammer tag is bull. I am not even trying to sell anything anyway. I am sure that if I do then people will point others to this thread.

Just give me that caution tag already, please !
