I tried to put this in your services:
Code:
skype:?chat&blob=S4q6R6Jd--K9yuP0Qj5gqChH75XAbUrNnnVfQyd2dJRcUURfK1dOdcqgX8dXylhSqS8eHceoCledpcsHUXugl36HG66j5Ve1t1VOghWhyGiMAW9zYoO6dx0BOiZLiuRbjl0p1XyM
It's a skype link to a skype group.

But it change the link in
Code:
skype/?chat&blob=S4q6R6Jd--K9yuP0Qj5gqChH75XAbUrNnnVfQyd2dJRcUURfK1dOdcqgX8dXylhSqS8eHceoCledpcsHUXugl36HG66j5Ve1t1VOghWhyGiMAW9zYoO6dx0BOiZLiuRbjl0p1XyM

So it changes "skype:?chat" to "skype/?chat" and it doesn't work.

This is the link:
https://bitcointalk.org/annoyance.php

Is there a way to fix it?

EDIT:
I just saw that there is the same problem with magnet link ( useful for bittorrents downloads )
example:
Code:
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:6659131ed6099ae194099c4466b288a5f6d35eaa3A6969
It change it in:
Code:
magnet/?xt=urn:btih:6659131ed6099ae194099c4466b288a5f6d35eaa3A6969

I just tested on Chrome and Firefox, I don't see that it changes colon to the slash. Here is an example of your magnet link: https://www.coinurl.com/stats.php?code=mdw

It seems that this forum blocks ad links, so write your example as link to the stats page, like above.

I know that there is problem on this forum, but there is also on your service ( or there is a problem with my Chrome browser ... )
I saw that the link appear correct on the service interface, but it doesn't work on the "redirect step".
It redirect to the wrong link, the one with the slash.

If I mouse over the redirect button I get this:

If I click the redirect button I get this:

I'm using last version of Chrome.

EDIT:

But if I click the 'Target URL' here: https://www.coinurl.com/stats.php?code=mdw everything goes fine.

Content filtration changed. Options "politics" and "weapons" added. Alcohol and tobacco can be selected separately.

Please update filtration settings in your profile:

Our web hoster's server went offline. Don't worry, CoinURL operation will be restored soon.

P.S. I just called my hosting provider, they promised to restore operation within 30 mins.

I have called the hoster again. An operator said a hardware failure occurred. Right now they are replacing damaged equipment.

Don't panic! I have recent backup.

It seems that there are some websites ( or just one ) that block the redirect.
Example:
ads

Can you find a way to auto-check these problems?

Some advertisers try to fraudulently boost number of visitors by embedding script that forces redirect to their page.

Unfortunately it is impossible to automatically detect these scripts. But malicious ads are being immediately removed, right after I receive a complaint, without refunds to the advertisers. I think this measure will destroy any incentive to annoy users.

Browser extensions updated. Added SSL encryption, as well as possibility to set default password for protection series of the links.

Chrome extension: https://coinurl.com/download/coinurl_chrome.crx

Firefox add-on will be auto updated after Mozilla review, which takes about 3 days. If you don't want to wait, update manually right now:

You can control what they do. It's a matter of forcing it.
Is it easy? no
They get more ingenious with every turn. However you do ultimately have just as much control as they do.

One method that usually works.
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1794974/using-js-how-can-i-stop-child-iframes-from-redirecting-or-at-least-prompt-users

Html5 has also introduced sandboxing
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/369498/how-to-prevent-iframe-from-redirecting-top-level-window

It's adoption however is not yet fully supported in all browsers. So sandboxing your iframe will have it's drawbacks until it does.

So I'd like to just say, It's not really true to say, "Unfortunately it is impossible to automatically detect these scripts."
If you'd some help in making this less of an issue, I'm sure I can find you a solution, but their is enough freely available advice and code out there.

Lethos, thank you for the suggestion.

Now ads are being be displayed in the separate sandbox, where parent's window forced redirect is not possible to perform.

Almost tempted to test that out, but I'll take your word for it Smiley
Glad to hear you are making these upgrades.

So, you're not doing anything to help Firefox, Opera, or Internet Explorer users?
