Why I can't send coins to an exchange through the new wallet ? I made a backup of my wallet and priv keys before the update and when moved to the new one I restored the priv keys and fully synchronized it.

I think this may have been covered, but when I launch the new 64bit Windows executable and restore my wallet, it asks for my password. I enter the password and it says it's incorrect. Is there a way to correct this?

I can see 10000 XDN transaction in your history, if you made it a few minutes ago, you should wait until your tx will be included in blockchain. If you transaction is too big sized, it can be rejected by daemons. Try even lower amount, like 1000 or 2000 XDN.
nothing happens

Dear Friends, We hope you understand what a massive work was done by our team. Next few days all issues with DarkNote client will be solved, Wallet pool miner will be enabled. We are proud of our work and we made such a thing in a short time. New cryptography for Encrypted TX Comments and Encrypted messages feature. Encrypted TX Comments and Encrypted messages DarkNote GUI Client implementation. Transfers aggregation DarkNote GUI Client implementation. Wallet Pool Miner DarkNote GUI Client made from scratch. Move blockchain out of RAM Export/Import private keys in paper format with DarkNote GUI Client. Fee ranging improvements Reset command for simplewallet Transaction history for simplewallet Transaction priority based on tx fee Fast wallet sync Tons of improvements Some stuff from our Roadmap: Improve Network and High Level API. Other languages implementation. DarkNote Mobile wallets implementation for Android, iOS, Blackberry, Ubuntu Touch. Web wallets implementation. DarkNote major features implementation. Please, stay updated and report your issues on http://darknotetalk.org. Remember, there can be some cosmetic inaccuracies in a "beta" version of software, but your funds are always safe and secure if you make .keys and .wallet backup. I

Also, what's the rationale behind adding on blockchain messaging to a protocol that already suffers from much more severe bloat due to ring signatures?

Sir, please, be polite. We did not "ripped" darkcoin`s name. We made a plan with UCK->ARK transformation long ago. That is why duckNote had "d", while DarkNote has "D". And there is no other coin than DarkNote who deserves to be called Dark. Please, stop that name wars, we do not use "coin", we use completely different technology, we made significant improvements from scratch. We act honestly. P.S. Hint puzzle: "... 11. Bg5 Na4 12. Qa3 Nxc3 13. bxc3 Nxe4 14. Bxe7 Qb6 15. Bc4 Nxc3 16. Bc5 Rfe8 17. Kf1 Be6 18. Bxb6 Bxc4 19. Kg1 Ne2 20. Kf1 Nxd4 ..."
Byrne vs. Fischer 1956 1. Nf3 Nf6 2. c4 g6 3. Nc3 Bg7 4. d4 O-O 5. Bf4 d5 6. Qb3 dc4 7. Qc4 c6 8. e4 Nbd7 9. Rd1 Nb6 10. Qc5 Bg4 11. Bg5 11. Be2 followed by 12 O-O would have been more prudent. The bishop move played allows a sudden crescendo of tactical points to be uncovered by Fischer. -- Wade 11... Na4! 12. Qa3 On 12. Nxa4 Nxe4 and White faces considerable difficulties. 12... Nc3 At first glance, one might think that this move only helps White create a stronger pawn center; however, Fischer's plan is quite the opposite. By eliminating the Knight on c3, it becomes possible to sacrifice the exchange via Nxe4 and smash White's center, while the King remains trapped in the center. 13. bc3 Ne4 The natural continuation of Black's plan. 14. Be7 Qb6 15. Bc4 Nc3 16. Bc5 Rfe8 17. Kf1 Be6!! If this is the game of the century, then 17...Be6!! must be the counter of the century. Fischer offers his queen in exchange for a fierce attack with his minor pieces. Declining this offer is not so easy: 18. Bxe6 leads to a 'Philidor Mate' (smothered mate) with ...Qb5+ 19. Kg1 Ne2+ 20. Kf1 Ng3+ 21. Kg1 Qf1+ 22. Rxf1 Ne2#. Other ways to decline the queen also run into trouble: e.g., 18. Qxc3 Qxc5 18. Bb6 Bc4 19. Kg1 Ne2 20. Kf1 Nd4 This tactical scenario, where a king is repeatedly revealed to checks, is sometimes called a "windmill." 21. Kg1 Ne2 22. Kf1 Nc3 23. Kg1 ab6 24. Qb4 Ra4 25. Qb6 Nd1 26. h3 Ra2 27. Kh2 Nf2 28. Re1 Re1 29. Qd8 Bf8 30. Ne1 Bd5 31. Nf3 Ne4 32. Qb8 b5 Every piece and pawn of the black camp is defended. The white queen has nothing to do. 33. h4 h5 34. Ne5 Kg7 35. Kg1 Bc5 36. Kf1 Ng3 Now Byrne is hopelessly entangled in Fischer's mating net. 37. Ke1 Bb4 38. Kd1 Bb3 39. Kc1 Ne2 40. Kb1 Nc3 41. Kc1 Rc2#
Dark king wins sacrificing the queen, brilliant chess game.

It's just a fact that Darkcoin existed months before duckNote, and before duckNote announced their name change there was a plethora of ripoffs (besides the ones I mentioned above, there is darkcash, darkblock, dogecoindark, and probably more), and now you decide to become the bajillionth crypto to put "dark" in your name. It's a ripoff, that's just what it is. You had a unique name and branding, and now it appears you've decided to abandon that and try and ride the coattails of Darkcoin. Good luck with that.

Yes, it is true, DarkCoin is an over hyped bubble, instead XDN DarkNote is a fairly launched cryptocurrency with unique features.

Dear users, We tried to reproduce your problem with backup-restore old-new wallets on several PC, and all the time backup-restore feature works fine. Summary:
1. As for now,
DarkNote client can: - backup and restore .keys, both old and new version. Versions of backups should be the same. E.G. If you backup an old .32 bit version, you should restore it to new .32 bit version. -backup and restore .wallet, both old and new version. Versions of backups should be the same. E.G. If you backup an old .32 bit version, you should restore it to new .32 bit version. -it should just work with an old ducknote.wallet in the same directory as new client. Versions should be the same. DarkNote client can`t: - backup and restore any simplewallet instance - backup and restore different .bit and OS versions.
2. Please, provide full information about you password problem. step by step. can you load your "old" backups on "old" wallet?
We keep hard work to make you happy. Thank you for your support.

having not bothered with cryptonote so much since there early days due to the complexity of the wallet and how much of a pain in the ass it was i'm impressed by the XDN wallet just out of curiosity is this how all cryptonote coins wallets are or is the propriety to XDN
Thank you. XDN wallet was made from scratch, still in beta, but you can use it. We are going to improve it. Also XDN provide new made from scratch cryptography for encrypted anonymous messaging.

In fact, we did not touch CryptoNote protocol by providing encrypted messaging. We provide an approach to encrypt information inside EXTRA field of transaction. Also message size is small, comparing with transaction size. And, truly we do not try to save blockchain space, if we will have a problem with big blockchain size, we will make distributed blockchain. I told you, we ride this technology, like Hawaii surfers ride the waves.

I tried both small and big sums, but without success. You problem is about transaction size. Not amount of XDN, but size of your transaction in kb. Probably your wallet produce Big sized transactions, because of your inputs/outputs structure. Any way you should decrease amount of coins and/or mixin count (anonymity level). Next week we will implement a feature to solve that problem. Probably now, one of your transactions stay in XDN tx pool http://chainradar.com/xdn/txpool , but is too big sized to be included in block by miners. So if it will not be included in block, it will be rejected and your money will come back to you soon. As for now you should backup/restore .keys to make DarkNote Client to "forget" about your not included transaction. Next week we will solve that issue on Client level, we will make an improvement to cancel all oversized transaction right after an attempt to produce it. Also we will enable mining feature after all tests will be done, probably very soon. You will be able just to push "start mining" button to begin mining on any open-source pool, right through DarkNote client UI. And there are lots lots of improvements on the way, as well as new features and media support. Next week is a massive updates week. Stay tuned. Please, post your issues and feature requests on http://darknotetalk.org

DarkDuck & DarkNote ... both great names All right .I believe XDN will be better than DRK.

That's exactlty what it means. Someone had an original idea (Darkcooin - dark to mean anonymous in the context of digital currency), and dNote rebranded his coin in a way that blatantly appropriates that other person's idea, i.e. ripped it off. There's no fear, uncertainty, or doubt about it, it's a fact. You're correct, it's not a trademarked term, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a ripoff. I just find it weird that the dev wanted to go from having a relatively original name and branding for the currency to something that is last in line of a series of (mostly shit) coins to ripoff Darkcoin's moniker.

Lol u mad? I don't really care what it's called. I just thought it was strange how the rename came out of nowhere, and that he decided to ripoff darkcoin. If you don't want people commenting on your thread, then self-moderate it.
