I haven't join that web for month, today I wanted to check how it's doing coz I had in there about 70 Cloak. But I can't get in, page is empty and only showing "Copyright © 2014 MintPal Limited. All Rights Reserved. Registered UK Company: #09009856."

while trying to implement Mintpal V2 they were hit with a large DDoS attack.
That was happening 23 hours ago.

Are there 2 different Mintpal exchanges?

Mintpal was supposed to be huge reliable exchange.

it would be suicide to not give people their coins, so all coins should be withdrawable at some point. then again you never know what will happen in cryptoland.

not sure what coins will be tradeable on mintpal v2. i assume they will take the chance and remove some low/no volume coins.

Mintpal was purchased by Moolah.

Mintpal V2 is due to be opened shortly. I think it was already supposed to have opened but they ran into a delay.

This blog says Mintpal V1 will remain open during the migration to Mintpal V2 over the next few weeks.

what really sucks is the information policy of MP.

Nor official statement of the actual situation, neither of planned solutions. Nothing!

I did a ticket because I a had a stucking withdrawal, no reaction, not even a confirmation of the ticket.
I looked at #mintpal, trying to get any answers - nothing.

Very annoying and for sure the best way to loose customers (at least their confidence).

+1

Their twitter announcement of the DDoS attack is over a day old. They have not even bothered to post any updates since.

Moolah is a company run by shady if not scammer administration... I won't be using Mintpal ever again after it was sold. I can only suggest to stay away

It seems that Moolah is having issues with the V2 release. It's been delayed a few times now.

Sorry, but that is no excuse for this lack of information.

It is not offline. I withdraw just a few minutes ago my xbc (incoming at Polo) and my xmr (not yet incoming, but hopefully will).
In worst case I will loose my btc, which I tried to withdraw just when mp went under maintenance (as usual without any announcement) These stuck as pending and Iam unable to confirm or cancel. No reaction from support.

But again: obviously it is actually possible to withdraw. I recommend to, because of the lack of information.

No one should use Mintpal. The owner "Alex Green" is a very shady person, most likely a scammer as well.

I've used MP for trading a lot of Doge and DRK a couple months ago. I've always liked their exchange, it's relatively fast and I had bad experiences with Cryptsy.

If not MP, which exchange(s) do you propose we should try out?

For altcoins I am very satisfied with Poloniex and Bter.

I like Bter and bittrex. Bter doesn't add new coins often like bittrex but is a great exchange.
