She's got a boyfriend...mmm...in that case approach her "as a friend", any excuse will do i.e. offer help with something or ask her to recommend a movie or music or whatever. Get close to her as a friend and take that opportunity to show her why you're a great guy (without being too obvious). If you're lucky, sooner or later her relationship will go thru a rough patch. If the guy is great I'm afraid you don't stand a chance. But if the guy is a jerk, well, she'll be single again soon, which is great news for you! Smiley

Usually girls don't make such a point of "since I'm a girl myself".   But there *have* been many guys posing as girls, bringing up that they are "a girl", as part of their scams.

Why would you want to bring to everyone's attention that you're a girl.  Like you did here.  And here:

Hii!
Just wondering if there are any fellow girls on here who are into Bitcoin mining, trading, etc. It seems it's mainly guys. We are roughly 50% of the population of this planet yet I can't find any girls who are into Bitcoins, anywhere.

To lonely nerds, "a girl" might be a big deal, but I don't know any females who are so hung up on and feel the need to advertise that they are female.

Watch out guys!

It was relevant to the post, both times. I've also started like 10 other posts without mentioning I'm a girl, cause it wasn't relevant.
I'm not a "lonely nerd", I'm a girl, and some of my best friends are "nerds" so a bit more respect pls.

Why is it important or relevant on Bitcointalk that you "are a girl".     Are you a child? (Adults don't tend to call themselves "girls", rather "women").  I also don't know any "girls" who feel the need to continuously say "I am a girl".   Why do that?  Why not be a human and an equal?

Whether its a girl or not, he/she is doing it because they think it distinguishes themselves over other aliases on this forum and makes them more unique and stand out to others. If she is a girl, she's got control issues but is lonely (.....stop being so controlling). If she's a man, he's a scam artist or potentially someone seeking to join the shemales of the world.

There is my analysis. It's a shot in the dark, but I'd lean more towards:

I don't know where u r from, but here in the UK everyone who is either a teen, in their 20s or even early 30s is referred to as a girl (or bird) unless they dress super maturely, are married or have kids, which then sort of puts them into a grown "woman" category I guess.

You started both topics, both topics were about you're being "a girl".  WTF?

Lol, gotta laugh at this. But you're wrong. I was just trying to help out some fellow bitcoiners with girly advice, the same way some of them helped me when I needed technical advice. I'm not lonely, or bored.
If you don't need advice and your life is perfect I'm happy for you, but there are some guys here who appreciate it and have asked me to help them, so yeah. Why not?

Yes, I also started a bunch of other topics where I don't mention it at all. What's your point?

That you're making a circular argument.  You excuse going on about being female by saying "it was relevant to both posts", which is meaningless since you started both posts...about you being a female.  Why call so much attention to "being a girl?"

Yeah, this has been explained to her him several times, but I guess s/he's just going to disregard the advice and carry on with the facade and telling every one s/he's a girl at at every available opportunity  Cheesy. It's too blatant to be believable.

Maybe she added gender to the topic because it was a big deal in her previous topic about girls. Maybe she is just trying to contribute to the forum.

Aside from the whole scam prt of this topic. Don't trust anyone.
