there are no dumb questions in crypto!  

the tor connection is optional, this wallet/coin can be used over the regular internet, however if you wish for your

transactions to be untraceable back to your ip, you must sync your wallet initially from the tor nodes.  


update 2:  i just uploaded a python api wrapper for dogecoindark, it can be found on our github:

Not criticizing but I think a logo change would help. The image is too busy and the chocolate brown...

I'm not sure this would interest you but StartJoin https://www.startjoin.com/ruby_x11_start is giving some money for a ruby to X11 port. might help you with some expenses but please continue concentrating on what it matters.

Cmon, the technology is serious the logo should be too. Get away from that stupid looking shibe...the original doge coin sucks, it offers nothing but a cute logo and an artistic community. It has no future.
