Thank you NHZ-XB5G-QDAG-NU3M-EL8L8 for the 1.0102 NHZ you sent me earlier.  I'm not sure why you did it, but I appreciate it. Cool

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Really liking the direction of NHZ. I swapped my small holding in NXT for NHZ and setup a node.

For those having issues with your node not being seen for some reason my config file though appearing correct was not being read correctly.

When launching the node make sure the highlighted fields are populated.

For some reason the way I had copied and pasted or something else I don't know just wasn't being read.
I may have had an extra space or something I really am not sure but after playing around with the formatting the lines populated correctly. After that my node was very quickly recognized by the node status checker
These are the relevant lines in the config file that worked.

You can get a 10% discount on the #Blocknet ITO if you pay with #NHZ
Just sayin'...
If at least one of the exchanges allows to sell the Blocknet token for BTC
(while ITO is still open) this would create an arbitrage opportunity...

two scripts I use for my nodes:

a simple node checker script for your console:

see it in action: https://asciinema.org/a/13147

code: https://gist.github.com/emre/b9b84f51426be1e4910f#file-nodechecker-py

(you need to install requests and clint library to run this.)

***

auto installer for ubuntu

- automatic hallmark creation/ip detection
- node monitoring included. (restarts if something happens to node)

https://gist.github.com/emre/b9b84f51426be1e4910f#file-installer-py

you can donate if you find these useful Smiley
NHZ-MGUU-WTUR-JC6K-DREBV

Great script! Keep up the good work!

I'm new here. People keep talking about "the new direction". Can someone elaborate what's the new direction and when can we expect to see updates?

Setting up a node

The reward structure for a node is 1,000,000 NHZ / # of active nodes which is paid once every 24 hours on our automatic Server Bounty System (bounty will be sent to account id which the hallmark includes)

Guide for setting up a hallmark (Linux and Windows - if you just want to install the client because you don't have a static ip, skip the hallmark parts of it) : http://files.nhzcrypto.org/docs/hallmark.pdf (chinese, german)

Please check if everything is set up correct here after running it for a while!

I managed to get a node up yesterday, without any major issues. Just thought Id mention one. On Win2k8 R2 server instance when I used notepad to paste my hallmark into the config file java would crash on running the jar. Mustve been some formatting issue, I did not have time to track it down so I used Notepad++ to paste the hallmark in and it worked.

Also, Java 8 doesnt work, I did not pay attention when downloading. Installed java 7 as per instructions and it was good.

Guys, you need to provide more info and more often, this thread is dying off, and it only begun.
Advertising yourself on Blocknet may still be too early also
