[quoteso we can do a new ICO and become more richs] If history repeats itself this scenario is quite likely. I remember when XC was abandoned for blocknet. As much as I hate to comment on fud, i just wanted to post this comment from Dan posted YESTERDAY on the XC slack... atcsecure [3:21 PM] latest xc wallet is out - and the latest feature - verifiable document signing is almost finished [3:22] http://builds.xcurrency.co/XcXBridge/XCBuild/1421/Oh nice. Xcurrency still getting extra features. Atcsecure is one of the most solid crypto devs out there hands down and has just kept on delivering despite the naysayers.

You can send PDF's (on-chain) with the latest release, next update includes the support for dynamic forms and then the document signing will be implemented.. a new OP with all the details and roadmap will be published soon

Hi Guys, just to say a very interesting project and watching with interest, however when visiting blocknet.co it does look unprofessional not to have a secure server, I mean for he sake of like 20 bucks a year or less, it opens you up to having files corrupted on downloads and getting injected with nasties, I wanted to download the windows exe file to have a play with but didn't for aforementioned reason. Imagine if someone put a wallet stealer in one for example
not fudding but have seen happen to other coins from years back and can destroy things for people. more of a word to the wise hopefully you can sort this cheers
already in place @ https://builds.xcurrency.co/for the official wallet - https://builds.xcurrency.co/blocknet/Build/Official_Blocknet_Wallet/for testing the dx - https://builds.xcurrency.co/blocknet/Build/I'll get the website updated to reflect the secure url's, although the only risk of using http would be a man in the middle attack during your download, I can publish md5 sum's for the official wallets as well appreciate reply, thanks a lot I meant http://blocknet.co/ though I guess same applies to both sites but this one will be most people's first port of call. maybe as a dev worth mentioning to one of other devs or whoever takes care of that end cheers

Hello everyone, an old block & xc holder here.
I found the latest updates amazing, but I unfortunately have backed away from the community for the past couple of years due to real life. Can someone point me to the right direction- I have backed up my wallets, what do I need to download to be able to use my block/XC again, and how do I follow the process of reapplying my stored wallets? I am not aware of forks/hard updates etc.
I just want to run the wallet and re-load my old wallets.
I have a 2016 version of Block/xc currently running at around 85% just to give you an idea.
Any help appreciated, thank you.

After the finished tech is out with UI how the integration of new coins will be made? Will the devs of the interested coins be able to list their coins on dx themselves or they must seek the authorization from Blocknet`s dev for this?

Good question. Makes me realise, each new coin that gets added is further marketing and exposure to Blocknet.

This is asked a lot. THe present vesion of the exchange requires the whole blockchain of the coins to be downloaded. On the roadmap is an SPV approach, like a "lite wallet" but for our exchange. So then no longer will the whole blockchains need to be downloaded. First we want to launch the working product, then it will be refined and made more and more user friendly.

At first you need to download the wallet, and block database. After that,if you use windows write in search pannel %appdata%,find the blocknet folder, and replace wallet file.

Hey friend, thank you for your reply. So I don't need to worry about other stuff like forks or big updates to the wallet? Nothing won't mess up my wallet.dat?

Is blocknet trying to compete with waves?
Blocknet has no competition with Waves. Waves is not decentralized platform and on other side Blocknet is truly decentralized exchange. Blocknet has more professional approach to provide trustless trade system in crypto world.

Is blocknet trying to compete with waves?
Trying to compete? We have been doing trustless atomic swaps cross blockchain for donkey's years (our lead dev Dan recently posted evidence in the BTC, LTC blockchains of the swaps working and has been retweeted by Charlie Litecoin dev). Waves is actually behind us but has v good marketing and a larger team. As someone else pointed out, Waves has a simple coloured coin approach no different than what Bitshares did years ago. I actually asked in the Waves topic what is the difference between their exchange and the Bitshares one - the answer basically was Waves will have a prettier UI. Blocknet on the other hand does true peer to peer cross chain swaps which is truly decentralised. That said there are some different scopes to the projects. Blocknet is going to enable trustless microservices via the DEX e.g. trustless decentralised mixing using Zcash. And each of these DAPPS will be powered by Blocknet token so the more they are used the more it will increase the price of Blocknet.
