Congrats to all community to get new ATH block is still huge undervalued coin with its great technology. Once UI will get completed and after HF price will move to the moon now it's just preparing for big explosion.

Once UI is released everyone will try to buy block tokens to set up nodes and receive huge gains. More nodes mean less coins on the market. Less coins mean higher price. To the moon guys!!! 1 Block=$50 this summer!!!

Yeah, service nodes will totally incentivize holding the coin - just like Dash.

Once the UI is released, it should make it very easy to trade - the only thing is that it's more technically hard to setup the trading node (need to run blocknet trading node + coin nodes + some configuration). But this should improve over time with a good UI/UX and I think most crypto people are technologically savvy enough anyway. And imagine if we were able to trade directly from our hardware wallets (just need to confirm the trade order on the device). I guess more work needs to be done on the SPV clients for that to work, though. That would be a huge win.

I think the Blocknet DX could also act as a good replacement for escrows (say two people want to exchange coins off-Poloniex at the market rate, without affecting current orders or incurring expensive exchange fees) - we would just need a similar dApp for that functionality.

This is easily a top 30 coin once the UI is released.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Huh Huh Huh Roll Eyes Huh Huh Huh Shocked Shocked

A website is all nice, but this interface will connect to which nodes? how will the nodes be choosen?

Will it only be the admin nodes running the interface?

Will nodes be able to open their exchanges?

Its being worked out. Patience. Smiley

With the above it probably means that this will work in favour of the few against the many. Sorry no info I assume bad news, thus FUD laws FEAR UNCERTAINTY DOUBT mean that investors should leave rather than come in.
Let me know if I am missing something

You've stumbled upon some very early news shared by someone who's not a dev.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

You'd also be incorrect to assume that anything the Blocknet builds is not decentralised. That's the entire point.

My congratulations on success! I'm very glad that I kept my faith in this project, and also kept my coins bought at the ICO.

Blocknet Dx will be real world's first fully trustless and decentralized working exchange. Their has not been any true decentralized exchange so far. All claims are false and somewhat are covered under some sort of centralization. Blocknet will provide first decentralized working exchange. We don't have to wait much now as everything is on track.

Hell yeah. Waves market cap $130 million+. I'm not going to compare us to them, I'll let you do your research but the platform we are building is very solid, works already and doesn't have any IOU's or coloured coins etc.

Nice we have hit the $3 price! Smiley

Also, will we have for sure a fixed requirement of 5000 Blocknet coins to run a service node? At this prices it's at $15000 per service node..won't that lead to less service nodes and danger that if only few nodes would be running and then they all decide to leave and sell their coins, no trading would be possible anymore? Would be great if someone cleared that for me. Smiley

The next build will have a voting system. 5000 is not fixed forever. The higher the value of block, the lower the amount to run a node in theory.  It can be adjusted as we go along to keep a balance.  This means that if a node price drops by a thousand for example, suddenly everyone running a node has an extra 1000 blocks to sell if they want and the overall price of a node drops.

That's great, thanks for the information! Smiley

Higher price to run a node > less node > higher return running a node > more people wants to run node > strong demand > even higher price

What is the performance in terms of transactions per second . BitShares claims their platform can sustain a throughput of 100k TPS.

That doesn't sound like a realistic statement from a decentralised exchange.

The performance of a decentralised exchange is not dependent on any one component's speed, since it's decentralised. Because every trade is directly between one party and another, there is no real limit on how many trades per second a DX could handle. More traders equal more bandwidth (so to speak) forever.

The real performance limits on a DX are (a) how many transactions your local node can make per second, which has mostly to do with your internet connection, and (b) the point at which a p2p broadcasting system gets crowded, since that's what we use to broadcast orders. I haven't encountered a measure of this, since it's so high that people designing a blockchain-based service don't tend to need to find out.

Look how many useless coins are over 100 million market cap. Block will have real usecases and very huge usecases. It deserves to be at 1 billion marketcap within 12 months!
