Kialara Physical Bitcoins/HAVEN: Update

For those who haven't subscribed to Kialara's mailing list, here is his latest mail:

I wanted to update everyone on their 'To the Moon' orders. If you are not aware, I have been posting updates to my blog @ http://kialara.com/moon-production-updates/

I have received the coins from the mint, and I could not be any happier with them - they're even better than I had hoped for - but I am still awaiting the steel housings. When I learned of the delay with the housings, I began to seek out a new, back-up supplier, which I have found. I am still expecting my current supplier to deliver, and they've been updating me on the progress, but I didn't want to take any chances.

The newly designed holograms arrived as well, but I felt they could be better, and knowing of the delay with the housings I decided to make some improvements and resubmit my order at an additional cost of $2,000.00, plus an additional fee to have them expedited - I want to get these perfect, you all deserve that... and I believe I will still have them in hand prior to the housings, which are estimated to ship June 25th or sooner. The new/backup supplier has started production as well, but it's likely I will receive my original order first. They encountered the same unforeseen problem as my overseas supplier with producing the steel sliding clip... and also worked out a solution. I plan to use these as part of a future release. 

I originally added two weeks to the time I was quoted, and I apologize that this was still not enough time. I have made every effort possible to ensure I do get these delivered to everyone as quickly as I can. I'm working every day on it, and doing my best to keep everyone informed. I also have a lot of work ahead of me, and I'm just as anxious to receive these as all of you, and I'm extremely grateful for the patience that has been given to me on this project and all past works - sincerely.

Thanks for posting. I am confirmed on the mailing list and never received this email. Looks like shipping delayed to first or second week of July now.

I have the same issues. I've subscribed to his mailing list at least three times now and I never get any emails from them.

Anyway, the coins look amazing and I do not mind waiting a bit longer for even better quality.

I did not send the last update to my entire list, only to those who ordered the moon series, and it looks like a small block of email addresses did not get added when I set things up in mailchimp. My apologies if this missed you.

I ordered the moon series and address was confirmed added to the mailing list, so you may still have a problem with MailChimp.

I ordered the moon series and address was confirmed added to the mailing list, so you may still have a problem with MailChimp.

I think it has been and always will be left to right. But since it is a perfect square it could be up to down as well, lol. I gues you could try searching for the address from left to right and from up to down and see if both exist. If they do you will surely get a more confident reply in here but if only one of them exists you have your answer .

On another note, I did not take part in the moon series but I did receive an email earlier (not the latest one though). So perhaps there are some issues with the emailing service you are using Max. I'm sure you can figure it out.

Looks bare I suppose there is no official list by Kialara.

I'm still waiting for confirmation if the public keys are read left to right vs up to down. I want to find mine, but of course I don't want to send it to the wrong address! :p

Good news! A shame it is taking a while as I'd love to see those moonbars in hand and in auction. I knew some people received offers of 10+BTC for a Suite but that was before BTC almost tripled in price, so I'm excited about the outcome of this one. If anyone is going to sell some that is. I'd love one of the "cheap" bars at least, that's for sure.

Max is a perfectionist and takes his time, dealing with him is like fucking a woman, the more foreplay the better the result.. leave the man be and you will shoot your load when it finally happens

    LMAO!  Classic. I've told Max this before but I think he has easily created the best cold storage units out there.  Mike's are great and the OG's but Max took it to another level (lot's of other great one's I love out there as well-just IMO).  I feel the same- happily and patiently waiting.


Max- I was going to email you but felt bad doing so with as insanely busy as you are and kind of feel bad asking here too but have to.  I started a thread about finding or having manufactured cases (clear air-tite ones like for bullion bars) for your Kia's, whether an exact fit for each type or universal w/padding for smaller versions.  Are you aware of anything that exists that works well?

BTW- chi-town has been AMAZING- not sure how either of us ever left!

Thank you Chi, I like a lot of the collectibles here myself, and have a nice collection as well. It's fun seeing what others come up with over the years.  

I've started thinking more seriously about protective casings and I've ordered a dozen different kinds from different manufacturers this year. None that are a perfect fit, I'm just working out what I'm wanting exactly and what materials to use. I worry a little that any hard plastic case could potentially scratch a polished mirror surface, while a PVC vinyl material would not. There are more options available if you go with an opaque container, but I know people might prefer a transparent one. I haven't ruled it out though.

Originally my cases were designed to protect the coin inside, but it wasn't long before I realized my cases could use cases of their own. And I do plan to produce something... most likely for the new moon bars first, as I plan to continue releasing works at this new size. And I can't promise it will be anything fancy, as I may end up leaning towards function over form in this scenario. But I am working on a solution nonetheless.

So basically I was told last night that the housings should be completed by Friday, and they will be engraved/shipped early next week.
