If the BTC has problems being accepted as payment, Catc will have much more difficult, much more. In Catalonia also have been delayed elections to September. I think the high point of Catc will be in the summer. The Catc team is fighting to keep its currency in C-Cex and for now I think it's enough. Many coins are lethargic and then explode. All in time. One question:
How much will cost to buy a good payment platform? maybe it's too expensive ...

So what now? The price at C-Cex has crashed, the block explorer ( http://catcexplorer.com/) is stuck for weeks already, the only pool (poollo.com) is shut down (coin is still there, but stratum is down)... Is this the inglorious end of CataloniaCoin story?  |

Wow  current market cap at 21 BTC / $ 4,642 I think to help promote CatC to the people of Catalonia, instead of calling it CataloniaCoin you should call it or sub label it as Moneda De Cataluña it sounds so much better and makes it stand out from just another crypto "coin" |

This appears to be VERY long term. Counted in centuries, not just months-years Our goal is to revitalize CATC few months before the election of Catalonia.
From Wikipedia: "A parliamentary election is scheduled to be held in Catalonia, as announced on January 15, 2015 by President Artur Mas, on September 27 that same year." So there is some hope to see something even this year... P.S. BTW, there was a great idea to name it "Moneda De Cataluña" - it is indeed very nice idea, sounds great and gives it a national character. |

this is the perfect time that the Devs should be trying to promote this coin and show a better way forward.

Thanks for responding. I think only a couple of people actually read this thread.
Basically I have built the first Bitcoin/Altcoin browser. Its the equivalent of Netscape 1 was to the Internet. It allows anyone to buy and sell goods with Bitcoin, and that means the idea of just "Merchants" completely evaporates. The guy up the road can sell 4 carrots as easily as a multinational. No-one needs ID and it is the solution to the unbanked. It will ensure mainstream adoption of Bitcoin because like the web browser its simple.
It is almost finished - I hope this month, and quite frankly its too big for just 1 person to run, so will initially look for someone in the industry to run it.
I thought it may spark some interest and hope for this coin, but as you can see the dev is on a long siesta.
