I would like to nominate Daniel " bytemaster" Larimer. Among other things, Larimer worked out how to create bitAssets, that is, assets (like bitUSD) that exist on a blockchain but are pegged to the value their real world counterpart, Larimer pioneered the notion of a Distributed Autonomous Company (DAC), Larimer built Delegated Proof of Stake (DPOS) and Transfer Invisibly To a Name (TITAN) to serve as the underlying BitShares blockchain-technology, Larimer outlined the relation between decentralization, economies of scale and cost. Larimer also started the bounty for the most watched Bitcoin video ever back in 2010. Larimer also deserves special mention for being exceptionally generous and honest with his projects, outlining them in detail on the forums long before developing them, sharing all his insights and solutions immediately as he thinks of them, encouraging people to challenge them, and having all code and written content available openly with free access. http://bitshares.org/https://bitsharestalk.org/https://github.com/bytemasterI would like to nominate Daniel Larimer, references above.

This bytemaster character is very interesting. 10 second block times, a chain that is so efficient they are hiring with it, and then stable currencies. Lets put him on the list.
website is bitshares.org or bitsharestalk.org

I would Like to vote for Dr. Kimto Chan the Megacoin developer.
The main reason is his development of the KGW (kimoto's gravitey well).
This algorithm has been utilised by hundreds of altcoins and is responsible for the remaining existence of many of them.
Difficulty adjustments from ever more powerful mining pools left many a coin for dead and unable to adjust once these relentless and indiscriminate mining pools left, until this algorithm was implemented.
There are more active developers out there but Kimoto works behind the scenes and this particular development has given so much to the community but continues to be taken for granted by and ever increasing number of coins that think it was just there from the beginning.
It is about high time Kimoto was recognised for this great gift the the crypto world.

Magi community is astonishingly doing well. Developments are on going that's why it is bottomed at 0.00002* its decent numbers knowing its mining rarity. And other factors that's why its consistent above 5's now at 0.00006 btc/xmg
Voting Joe lao and sunny king for me.
Sunny has had an amazing role in multiple developments. I think joe Lao might have thought on similar terms as Sunny king and jh00 for being the first primecoin pool.
