Edit: I mean Paycoin profitability of course.
I did some napkin math. It looks like at diff 300M and exchange rate at 0.03 BTC profitability is around 0.15 BTC per day per TH/s. Difficulty varies wildly from block to block, but now it seems to be reaching into 500-800M, so I'm guessing those rental prices will be coming down - e.g. NiceHash is now barely at break even point.
Just to put this into perspective - 0.15 BTC per day per TH/s is 10-12 times more profitable than Bitcoin, so it's a long way down.

One more fail? Cue the jokes about manual reconciliation and frozen withdrawals and all that pleasantly familiar stuff from ZenCloud. But it will all be working perfectly in Paybase https://hashtalk.org/topic/23515GAW_GM Admin Moderator GAW Staff Blocks 2-277 and pool.paycoin.org shutting down for good! We are working through a manual payout for blocks 2-277. Manual payouts will be complete by midnight tomorrow. As we are not public pool operators and several community pools have opened up we are shutting down this pool. All payouts will continue to happen and we will close down the pool tomorrow for good. We will wait for all shares to payout before taking down the pool servers. A huge thank you to the community for creating PayCoin pools and other resources and for all of the reports regarding these payouts being stuck. JMLite on IRC: I'm sure someone from GAW will see my logs here, even on a Sunday, they always do . And usually there is a hashtalk post related to it in the morning. I just hope they figure it out and do the right thing, and that my day's work investigating into it helps out with the first 277 block missing coins issues for everyone. Several responses to the paycoin pool thread. https://hashtalk.org/topic/23296/pool-paycoin-com-onlineJMLite we are always here!

You might be better off with NiceHash right now, while renters haven't caught up with the huge diff increase. If you want pure XPY, try http://paycoin.minerpools.com/

The numbers are roughly correct, but you need to understand how skewed Paycoin market is. There are 12 million coins locked up. Only about 50-60k in the open market. So multiplying $11 or whatever it is by 12 million is meaningless. If hey had premined 1 billion coins would the market cap be higher than BTC? So if i make a coin premine 100% 1 billion coins and sell a single coin to someone for $1 does that make my coins market cap $1 billion? Just curious if thats how it works. Wouldnt trade volume and executed tradesbe a better indicator... i.e transacted value per day?

Cmon surely this crack must make the skeptics even slightly weary and question GAWs competence? If this point doesnt nothing will.

Works ok for normal coins, but the 96% premine sitting in "escrow" obviously screws that calculation up.
