NOMP down? page cannot be displayed... that's not good lol so hows the paycoin mining going so far?

I'm hearing that multicoinpool.org is still mining. I wonder how that is going to turn out. Will there be a fork when the new nodes come up and the official pool comes back.

If they are still mining, there almost has to be a fork,,, at this point? wow what a frick'n mess...... things couldn't be going worse this past week. As a miner I am always curious to see the latest greatest concept, but never felt this was the coin ,,, problem is they over stated and under delivered, classic bad judgment..

What do you mean things couldn't be going worse? Things are going as "expected".
lol!!!!  Grin you got that right

Just looking at bitcoin watch, hard to see it if it really did,,, what was the petahash of paycoin pool earlier? I saw 1.4 at one point... not 10% of BTC network.. lol

Pool was 2.5 or so. The whole network was 5 PH/s, maybe up to 6 at the peak I think, around block 269 was the last time I looked at it and it broke at 277.

Bitcoinwisdom shows the bitcoin network as around 290 PH so that would mean they had 29 PH on Paycoin. It wasn't even close to that. I think he misplaced a decimal in there somewhere lol

so,,, since i don't hang on HT anymore, wtf are these stakers doing atm, nothing? Can people even *get* any XPY coins yet other than by this mining outside of gaw? i so confused...  Huh

Well the first PoW block gave GAWminers 11,000,000 coins (one block, 11M coins).
The entire week of PoW mining will give the rest of the miners 504,000 coins (10080 blocks, 49 coins per block).

What pre-mine?

If it went over your head, the "miners" get chicken feed , there's no value in anybody pointing 2PH/s at this worthless network.

This casaused the coin to stall.  More info coming.

In the spirit of what crypto stands for, we will not premine. We will obtain our coins like everyone else! By mining for them Smiley

They did mine them. A lot of them. 12 million. In one block. Entirely due to luck they happened to get it before anyone else.

Haha its so funny. Josh is literally the most retarded person i've ever had the displeasure of seeing operate a business.

That's an insult to mentally challenged people. Calling Josh retarded is being too kind to him.

Reading the announcement at https://hashtalk.org/topic/23082/paycoin-stall-update

Quote from: GAW_Ceo
First, a congratulations is in order. Paycoin was the most successful coin that has ever launched. Period.

About 10% of the entire Bitcoin network moved to Paycoin in a twenty minute period! I am still trying to wrap my head around this.

Think about that for a minute, this community has built a coin so large, that in less than 12 hours, we were able to take 10% of miners from the most popular in the world (btc).

The critics said we would not stand a chance against Bitcoin. In just a few hours, we have broken every record in crypto history. Imagine what we will do in a month from now, six months from now?

We have multiple coin development teams working on this and they are all saying the same thing, "We have never seen anything like this before. "

And, that's the problem. There was no way to ever test that much power coming on that quickly. This caused the coin to stall.

More info coming.

How is "that the problem", if this is a SHA256 clone how is it that it can't sustain 5-6PH and the bitcoin network sustains 290+PH?  Don't they have 8PH in Bitmain miners to test this thing out?
