The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Not sure what the market cap celebration is about: https://hashtalk.org/topic/23489/paycoin-xpy-has-surpassed-litecoin-ltc-in-market-cap

A) 12,000,000 coins are in *escrow* so that valuation os in 100,000 coins going around.
B) 12M valuation is 1/2 of the $20/XPY valuation

Is the guy really celebrating the coin being at half of its projected value? (even if it's temporary)

So let's recap. This is a scam because to pay everyone $20 requires all hidden investors to give away all their money.

So what's the possibility of that happening? Does Fitzgerald want to go homeless? Maybe it's legit and he's giving away all his money.

Or people are forced to stake while Josh runs off with Bitcoin because there is no investor. These are the odds of Homero scamming everyone. Doesn't look good.

Or Homero is using customer funds to pay them back until he runs out. Ie. A Ponzi.

Coin is already down to $10, whoever wanted them is now out of cash so demand is done.

The funny thing is the Fed Reserve can just print money to buy Bitcoin to crash it. Or invest in scams like these to tarnish Crypto currency with no loss to them haha Cheesy But that's not really needed cus Homero is printing CashTakers like they're made from thin air. Oh...wait they are.

Some people are starting to get poed the nomp pools were not paying out but the other ones were. I think I said that earlier.

Straight to the bottom
https://hashtalk.org/topic/23515/blocks-2-277-and-pool-paycoin-org-shutting-down-for-good/16
Appears the nomp is shutting down. and I had just decided to throw 50GH at for just for fun and giggles.... lol, Don't worry I am BTC all the way. Just had to try it..  Grin

This one still works

http://paycoin.minerpools.com/index.php
Well I just started to hash on miner pools,,, and now it just went down, or at least the front end seems to have.. but my miner is still hashing so we'll see lol

Thanks for links,,,, and suchmoon too  Cheesy

Yeah, let me explain this one.

When you're trying to measure the hashrate of the network there's massive variance between block times, which makes it extremely hard to know how to set the difficulty. With Bitcoin it's averaged over two weeks worth of hashing time, in an attempt to smooth things out somewhat. Even then the difficulty can swing +-10% just from luck alone. GAWminers in their infinite wisdom made a system which uses the average of.. two blocks. What this means is that if a block is very lucky, the difficulty of the next one (and the "network hashrate") appears to be stupidly high compared with what it really is. That's why there's huge gaps, and why you'll see people on HashTalk saying that the network is up to 50Ph/s. It's not, there was just a lucky block and they're cherry picking the ones which make them look the best.

Code:
191,012,766
350,839,774
7,343,160,41
726,246,634
30,557,651
76,394,136
122,776,299
36,110,678
95,587,110

Here's a sample of the difficulties in sequential blocks. I'll let you guess which one caused the 30 minute block period.
