The confidence for Japanese Yen is strong, so most of Japanese don't think they should buy risky bitcoin.
It's amazing, and sad. Because so many will be hurt so badly by this misplaced confidence. There is no reason for the yen to be strong, and every reason to flee it. But, as you point out, historically those betting against the yen have been badly burnt. Sadly that was the wrong lesson. I live in Japan and love it here, but I wonder what is going to happen in the next few years. The elderly are squeezing the life blood out of the economy and the young people, just so they can take pensions and health care whose cost they only paid about 20% of. They want the young to pay the rest, when those same young people have no hope of anyone paying for them. It's only a matter of time until they revolt. Anyone with long term savings in yen and belief in the system is going to suffer massive losses. I hope it happens sooner, as those who should be losing out are the elderly who supported the corrupt system, not the young who were just handed their fate.

How to use "quote"? In Japan, we need enginneers who can speak English and Japanese.
Weak yen give us profit. Exports increase. And yen is controlled by Bank of Japan. If yen was out of controll... that should'nt occur. Although there are many anxietiy about the future (decreasing children, a pension, salary, etc), I don't think yen falls such as RUR.

so basically we have to keep posting like a madman and then it would be important enough to consider opening a nihongo subforum. i do a bit something useful now: Getting discounts by paying with Bitcoinsthis is an event organized by my friends from the local bitcoin meetup group in osaka. check it out! Saturday, May 16, 20158:00 PM - Moonshine Umeda北区曽根崎新地1-9-12大雅ビル2F, Osaka directions: Take south central exit. Pass maru bldg. Near Captain Kangeroo event info: A penny saved is a penny earned. Would like to try out paying with bitcoin to get discounts. How much is the right percentage is still an open question in the bitcoin community. Brian who runs Moonshine is a bitcoin enthusiast. this bitcoin meetup is now moving the regular event over to a smaller bar. Dave Faulkmore who is organizing the bitcoin meetups in osaka at the moment says: Lots of trading happened. Kevin was happy to advise me on sites similar to airbnb.
Ran out of time for the demonstration on getting discounts using bitcoins. But it's relevant for our lives here in Japan. So might schedule a private meeting with Kevin. if you are in osaka get in touch with them and show some bitcoin love at moonshine umeda. please comment and share in english/japanese... let's get our japanese subforum!

Space station , in Amemura, is temporarily closed after a car rammed the entrance . One bicyclist died and another was injured. Kansai bitcoiners has held events at Space station in the past and Matt knows how to accept bitcoin.

本当に? that sounds horrible! poor driving skills? or how comes? yeah spacestation is one of the coolest bars in osaka to go drink beer play some retrogames or try the oculus aaaand... pay with bitcoin. Space Station is a place where you can enjoy old and new video games while drinking in a bar setting. While the majority of video game bars in Japan have some kind of seating charge, Space Station is very proud to allow free entry. Customers pay only for the drinks. Space Station has the following game machines: Atari 2600, Famicom, N.E.S., Genesis, Super Famicom, Super Nintendo, Dreamcast, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Wii, and Wii U. We also provide the Oculus Rift for customers to experience. Close to JR Namba station, as well as Namba subway station.
*Maps in Facebook appears to be broken. The bar's address is: Nishishinsaibashi, 2 Chome-13-3, Chuo-ku, Osaka 542-0086

Tokyo bans drones in parksTokyo has banned drones in municipal parks after one was discovered on the roof of the prime minister's residence, according to reports. Japanese media outlets have reported that the devices are no longer allowed in any of the 81 public parks in Japan's capital city. According to the reports, offenders could be fined £265. The move comes after a drone carrying radioactive material landed on the roof of the prime ministerial residence. A man was arrested over the incident in late April after handing himself in, Tokyo police said. Yasuo Yamamoto, 40, was protesting over the Japanese government's nuclear energy policy. According to The Japan News, Tokyo's metropolitan government said the drones posed a danger to children. The site reports that officials said they had no intention of imposing the penalty, but that they asked people to comply. http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-32730212
