How many coins have their own source code?
And how many of them is open source?
How many fingers you got on your hand? haha, good questions. who knows how many have their own source code.

Wow! Nice movement on the exchanges. The large spike after the OS announcement, but we've seen consistent movement since then. Looks like there's good arb opportunity on BTER, compared to polo.

A Personal Quote on BTT from 2011: "I'd be willing to make a moderate "investment" if the value of the BTC went below $2.00. Otherwise I'll just have to live with my 5 BTC and be happy. :/" ...sigh. If only I knew.

Well one thing is for sure, If Qora ever gets out of this bear market and gains momentum, no one can justifiably claim that qora distribution is poor.

My client is crashing regularly with this: # # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: # # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x0000000061a7517b, pid=1700, tid=5652 # # JRE version: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (7.0_55-b13) (build 1.7.0_55-b13) # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (24.55-b03 mixed mode windows-amd64 compressed oops) # Problematic frame: # C [awt.dll+0x7517b] It's running on windows 8/64bit. I've noticed that there are different command lines for the java call in run.bat, one with "-xmx512m", the other two with "-xmx256m". I think that's a typo and I've therefor changed it all to "-xmx512m". But I don't know if that has anything to do with the exception. It keeps crashing with either setting. Any ideas?

The xmx value is the maximum memory the process can take! You would get another exception if that is the problem, usally out of memory error or Java Heap space....so the error you are getting has another cause and will not be fixed by changing the max mem value. Looks like there is a problem with the awt ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abstract_Window_Toolkit) --> a component for creating the gui. So this seems to be a java bug, try to use the newest Java 7 or Java 8 version (7u71 seems to be the newest you have 7u55)

How do I find what version I have? I can't see it in the UI or in the folder. There doesn't seem to be a readme.txt with the version or anything, or an About box.

As far as I know there is no direct version information at the moment. An easy way to determine if you have the newest version is the size of the qora.jar it should be (11,1 MB (11.690.928 Bytes)) and has the creation date "6. october"....if your size differs you don't have v.18.

And Qora's back. I stopped following the old thread cause it was so full of FUD and petty bickering. So, I am very excited... 1. Qora is going Open Source 2. The AT work is still happening. 3. There is now a moderated thread. I suggest ANY price talk be deleted. It has worked very well in the Via thread and kept discussion on the coin and development rather than the markets. I opened my client today and noticed I am on a fork. So, I am re-dling the block chain. v18 is current I assume. I would leave it open to forge/mine, however, are there any chances I would ever generate a block? I have less than 50k Qora. Although, that might change now that we are going open source. Also, is generation power based on address balance or wallet balance? It's good to be back.

Ok, re-dl'ed and it still seems i'm on a bad fork. Last block is 54564 from Dec 4th. And it doesn't match the block at that height on the block explorer.
Does someone have a good list of peers I can put into setting.json?
thanks.
