All proxies are down from the looks of it. Why is everyone making such a big deal about this? They won't and can't die.
I'd host it myself if they gave me the software..

http://kickass.to/ is your best option after Piratebay.

I've lost count of how many times its been taken down but it'll just pop back up. Plenty of alternatives anyway. I agree that we need to have a decent decentralised option as centralised torrent sites will likely get taken down at some point.

Well, TPB was the biggest of the free tracker torrent known, and they were being chased for years, thats the problem.

Like I've said, someone is going to host it somewhere again.

The Pirate Bay isn't even on a true server anyway. They're typically loaded onto virtual servers and only the front end-load balancer is exposed. The back-end is stored in RAM. The police won't be able to access all the information that contains cloud hosting location, etc. There's only a couple of things I can think of off the bat that would reveal that information, but if it hasn't been done yet then I'm confident TPB isn't in any huge threat of being permanently disabled. The people behind it really know their stuff.

I'm not getting anything on the proxies yet and that link is blocked by my stupid ISP.

https://torrentfreak.com/the-pirate-bay-has-not-been-resurrected-yet-141210/

It looks like that link is dodgy, I wouldn't use it.

I have heard that as well.  Definitely do not send them any donations/money and hide your ip behind a VPN or annonimizer.  I suspect the magnet hashes are legit and ok, but you never know.  As always, use caution.

thepiratebay.ee looks to be legitimate though I can't be sure. It's blocked in the UK, use Tor to access it.

They had a Tor hidden service too, anyone have the URL for it? maybe thats still up too. (EDIT: its down too, http://jntlesnev5o7zysa.onion/)

Piratebay was down so many times ...

For me it is like a part of a history of the Internet Smiley

I believe it will be up again but what I know for sure is that pirates are impossible to be stopped.

I don't recommend to use that .ee at the moment even if it is legit, there is no official info about it yet anywhere so far as I know.

Wait 2 days. Things will go back to normal Smiley

Kind regards.

Site may not be legit...just a clone copy.  Use with caution.

It is a working mirror site but it looks to be using a very old set of data back from 2012. It will work for future postings directly on the site but doesn't have anything current, unfortunately.

Yea, anybody can download the old PirateBay site from 2012.  It's only a 90MB file.

Go to archive.org put thepiratebay.se in the wayback machine

and select 9 Dec. That way you can at least use the latest

archived copy.

im not really sure they should bring it back. recently theres been so many ads its stupid. its turned more into a statement of rebellion showing the cops you cant take it down rather than being about sharing files.

maybe they will bring it back but with the new crew running it i cant see me using it much there are much better alternative these days and the only reason tpb is still around is the name and the media,if theyd have left it alone im pretty sure tpb would have died or evolved by now. much like the laws its now stuck in the past
