well, you have never had a million of anything... if the second house is made shit wouldn't matter because I have made houses scarce because no one will sell theirs for less than 1 mil...
supply and demand... so far, i am the only one to create ANY demand!!!  I did the only PR for this coin EVER!!!

I spread this coin to ypool.  I created the only facebook link.  My involvement got the dev a little help in the beginning...  Where were all of you in Jan, Feb, and March???  no one was complaining about my use of electricity then...

It works more like free drinks at the bar... Everyone at the bar gets free drinks, but i tip, so i get more drinks more often... you want more drinks, tip better...
you think it is just about cost... but it is more about difficulty...

what you are doing is accepting Commodities for Other commodities... I hope you have spoken with a lot of lawyers... because any transaction done this way violates United States treaties, and requires about a million dollars in licenses... Without an international commodities license this tactic will end you up in jail...

It's a great idea, just costs alot... BTS got around it by using the term DONATIONS.... AT LEAST LEARN THIS!!!
you can't have "BIDS" for your "COMMODITIES" without it being said that you "sell"... can i get your license number please? do you login from your ip??? to buy something from you in the USA i need a lot of information to NOT BE BREAKING THE LAW!!!

doesntmatter

I'm well aware of your contributions which is why i am very interested in converting you to our way of thinking  Smiley

Well i guess the first point i'd raise is that most of those who are actively working on this project are not in the U.S, however nice catch, i guess we'll have to change terms around a bit to make use of local loopholes of such nations.

Keep in mind that this system we are building is for use by both companies and individuals, and as far as i know there is no law that requires any individual to use any type of license to purchase/sell commodities online.... and i can further expand on that and say that there needs to be a classification determined by local authorities on the status of crypto-based derivatives. Some will treat it as money, soe as commodities, hell japan just said that noone can "own" a bitcoin....so as far as i see it's all just a grey area where we need to be careful.

doesntmatter

meanwhile, i really am grateful for you stepping up and voicing your concerns, and letting me know what loopholes and problems you see in the current vector of development. Others just follow without saying anything, so we could trip over so many landmines without even seeing it.

I know it seems as though we are also moving to the delegated model.... which is partially true, but i would also argue that at this point in time, it's really just your choice if you want to mine, if you have enough hash power (which is very very low ) and 1 BTC you could easily fund 5 BNs and mine to your hearts content.... of which in the great scheme of things 1 BTC is a very tiny amount. Even if the cost was 2 BTC for 5 BNs.... an i7 desktop (hell even i5 i think) would be sufficient to power your nodes.

Which also reinforces my point to an extent...aren't we better off if that BTC went directly into backing BCR thereby raising the minimum price rather than giving it to power company x over the course of the next two months ?

Why don't you diminish the amount paid for finding a block ?

Let's say:
1.8 - Block Finder
1.8 - BANK
1.8 - RESERVE
12.6 - BN

If someone want to mine with 100 GPU's and want to find all blocks, let it be. If it's worth for him ...

Thank You for your tips!

The other thing the BTS people got right was splitting the daily output based on all donations... this way they didn't have to return money... and price was set by anyone giving...
all of these methods will stop anyone without starting capitol...

only one marketplace to buy means centralization...you "deciding" anything means NOT COMMUNITY DRIVEN...

where is the blockchain based voting?  I would still like to be the first to receive a chain based loan!

i have 1/7th of pending blocks... 3/21

this means i am not alone... plus i only get 8.4 per block... i am following the rules... i just believe in future value more than others...

someday i expect this to work like credit at the bank... 1 bcr is the value to borrow x (in fiat) from a banknode...

if you can't see how much this will be worth, that is not my issue...

just imagine if you had mined up, and bought all the bitcoin you could when they finally hit 1usd in value...

doesntmatter

p.s.: it's just my name that doesn't matter! lol

are you buying BCR with ALL THAT YOU RECEIVE???

P.P.S.: i mine with half a gpu.... lol, i just use better math

The chain would be at the mercy of the big miner, who apart from double-spending attacks etc. could halt the chain at will by adding/subtracting large amounts of hash.

The only one to create any demand? There's been plenty of demand from me and I've never heard of you until now. And have you seen the amount of work bitcreditscc has put in? That has no value I suppose, all the demand was created by you.  Roll Eyes

Panic much? If we have to change a few strings based on region, and incorporate in Angola, then so be it. If you have any legal expertise, feel free to share! Smiley

At the moment all we're doing is selling our own product and accepting 3 other currencies as payment. You could even call it barter. Where exactly is that illegal?

Are you guys saying my banknode will stop working in a few days? So I will have to set up 5x50k banknodes?

Yes, the plan is to separate different types of nodes without excessive cost for smaller business plans. Actual banks will definitely be costly though , this will likely pop up in the next updates.

will the req. for actual banks be 250k? or possibly more?

Actual Bank will be 250K, the next few weeks will see some new ideas and further expansion of existing ones put into reality.

So what's the point of making new smaller 5x 50k banknodes from so far existing 250k, just for some time and then again remade them to 250k.  Now 250k - after 145000 block, 5x50k - and after some time again 250k.

I know that there will be new functionality in actual bigger banknodes but if I don't want to use it, just hold a bigger 250k banknode which is easier to operate then 5 smaller 50k banknodes.

Sorry to say but it's illogical for me, maybe I don't get a bigger picture but it will not encourage any investors.

@ thelonecrouton

New wallet with light theme is at last useful and looks gorgeous, new functions looks promising, great work.

what purpose do you want to use your node for?

It depends how this project will evolve, lending money should be registered operation as far as I know and now without darksend working, this coin is not anonymous, how operator could feel safe ?
You said there are plans to register working company that would be interesting.

Yes, once we hammer out the last remaining issues, we will put up a mailing list and send a slightly redacted copy of the Memorandum to all interested users.

Darksend is still very immature. With regards to regulation, we are still consulting a lawyer , but essentially, if those running financial services work under our banner as a "branch", it may be feasible...more on this when i have the full recommendation. The main problem is that this is global, as such with differing laws in each country...we'll need to do some legal acrobatics

We want to minimize the risk to users as much as possible so we are really trying to get as iron clad as possible, also because of widespread scamming we are trying very hard to create a robust system that will hopefully ensure that no-one absconds with people's funds.

@doesntmatter

You got a few months of posts to catch up, but I think it doesntmatter  Grin and when you are moaning same things over and over , then you got enough of yourself  Cheesy

Thanks god that I write slowly , and tone down everything for a few times ...

@ dragos_bdi we have to make the reward for mining small to avoid competition, but also not too small so that BN miners will not complain

@ doesntmatter We have many differnet people fro any different walks of life who will participate and use BCR as such the revenue streams are going to be diversified even further than now. "donations" are meant to be split everyday, except right now we are patching all the holes in the code, and unlike BTS ours are meant to be given out daily, not after some very long wait. The price is already set by those making "donations" as they are the ones who decide what the total will be divided by.

I find it very hard to believe that people would fail to have even $35 worth of starting capital. And in case they don't they should do a job and eran the starting capital, BCR offers jobs that pay right off the blockchain (this will kick in around block 210K. )

Blockchain based voting also starts at the same block. I may publish the ratings code too , but's it's still very dirty...

You are following the rules, except the fact that the rules left a loophole which allows you to subvert paying out to those who made "donations".

Let's me remind you why your mining is important to me.... it's not how much you earn that concerns me, it's the fact that i will count the blocks that have been mined by a key belonging to you and that will heavily influence your credit and trust rating. See a system is more likely to reward a regular , contributing user than a new user with no point of reference. The blocks attributable to you, the better your preferential treatment in the system. Hell, we could even set up zero tx fee regime for the ones with highest trust ratings. When i finish making the building the foundation of the system (likely 0.30.19) i'll start pushing hard on things like p2p loans, real banking facilities and transactions insurance. That is when all the electricity and BNs you own will really shine, people look at the trust engine in it's current state and think that's it, they could not be further from the truth. as i rummage in the code i am learning new ways to extract data from the system. Like now, i can calculate exactly what % of the system's overall health is attributable to an address you own, i can calculate accurately what % of the system would belong to you if we divvied it up based on economic activity. I'd say that right now the engine is 0.01 % of what it will be when i feel satisfied.

If we had more coders to write, review and roll out sections of this, i bet we'd have a full system in 3 months.

One of the fellow devs i consult with when dealing with complicated things agrees that while my method is basic it can effectively reject consecutive blocks and also reject blocks not mined by BNs...

Just a suggestion: Maybe instead of adding "-fix1", "-fixssl", "-fix1337", etc. it might make a bit more sense to add a number. So for example: 0.30.17.2-3 or 0.30.17.2-7, indicating a small fix.

I will from now on.

Is there any possibility somebody build wallet for windows 32x?

One strange thing i'd like users to confirm for me : bidtracker/final.dat is showing zero values only in windows ? While linux users have accurate numbers?

This is mine:

Hi, for now mining with a banknode has some loopholes in the code were published and we are about to test some new rules to resolve this issue. But indeed yes, that would be how you do it on the actual banknode.

For user flexibility I am adding an extra feature :- the ability to mine using any wallet, so long as you own an active BN. i'll explain when i publish the code in a few hours.

@bitcreditscc

bidtracker.cpp is looking for the DASH unspents here:

http://api.blockstrap.com/v0/drk/address/unspents/Xypcx2iE8rCtC3tjw5M8sxpRzn4JuoSaBH - but their blockchain seems frozen at block 332319, which would explain why my later DASH bids are not showing.

Chainz will give you access to an unspent API call if you ask them (BCT user Fairglu seems like a good guy) for a free API key... just an option if blockstrap continues to be unreliable...

Blockchain.info seems accurate for BTC and LTC though.

Thanx for that option, I'm olnly dreaming that this will be more secure than running a bunch of hot wallets on different machines, but when it come that BN mining will be obligatory - please announce it clearly to avoid misunderstadning.

Seems that 32bit win wallet works ok on my "bcr-problematic" 64bit win 7 system when in the same time latest 64bit wallet doesn't work, strange but finally got some options.

EDIT:

It was premature happiness, it gives error at closing

EXCEPTION:St13runtime_error
CDB : Error -30974, can't open database

eeee nevermind get back to the begining

Seems that 32bit win wallet works ok on my "bcr-problematic" 64bit win 7 system when in the same time latest 64bit wallet doesn't work, strange but finally got some options.

EDIT:

It was premature happiness, it gives error at closing

"Runaway exception"
Bitcredit can no longer continue safely and will quit
EXCEPTION:St13runtime_error
CDB : Error -30974, can't open database
C:\...........\bitcredit-qt.exe in Runaway exception

The visual c++ error, after restart similiar errors.

eeee nevermind get back to the begining

bah i got mine synced to 207899 and it hung, so i restarted and got the same St13runtime_error so i deleted and moved some stuff in %appdata%, still no love. ended up deleted everything (except my fresh backups) so again it started fine and synced to the same block. suggestions?
