The Bitcoin core wallet is a convoluted mess, if I had a spare 6 months I'd throw the lot of it away and start from scratch. In python.  Cheesy

That's all that's needed for a promising, high-appeal ICO Smiley When do we start?

Cheers

Graham

Highly interesting idea...but i have no clue about python...

Q...would it be worth the move? I know a way we can cut that down to maybe ~ one month

Your main problem coming from C++ to python will be what to do with all your new free time, since you wont be spending it on endless bloody type conversions and pointless header files that nobody but the smarmy compiler and the pedants that wrote it care about. I've heard that transitioning effectively from C++ to python also usually requires C++ devs to be un-dropped on their head, but the optimal technique(s) for this are still being debated.  Cheesy

Aha, thanks, I take it you mean in the popup from Banknodes > My Banknodes > Create > etc.? Had forgotten that as I've not used it myself. Will change!

edit: hmmm... block 145000 been and gone, my new 50k banknodes all "started successfully" but none of them showing up in the QT or CLI list, and 250k BNs still getting piad... you sure it was 145000?  Grin

My 50K banknodes are showing up in their own banknode lists, but not seeing each other (or getting payments, yet).

Also we seem to be on block 145013 for a while now...

Stupid question : why I cannot send 50 000 BCR from my previous BN address to new one, I get info that transaction is too big and then that transaction failed, darksend/instantx disabled, banknode is disabled (stopped and 0 in conf).

edit:

Ok, I got that http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/37172/transaction-too-large-error  , need to use smaller amount of inputs in coin control and somehow merge smaller transactions.

For how long old Banknodes on old wallet will work ? For now they are still collecting fees.

Updated "latest" to include a *.conf file and *.qss files as examples.

http://bitcredits.pw/downloads/

Please use updatebcr.sh to update your files.

Thank You for your tips!

For me script didn't work, upgrading files manually - bitcreditd starts but shows no info, any bitcredit-cli command results with  "cannot execute binary file: exec format error"

Am I doing something wrong again.

Banknodes are paid to incentivise users to acquire one for themselves, this is because the eventual ecosystem is one where those with a "stake" in it act as transaction processors, service providers and infrastructure anchors. As you know most coins have one of two problems, lack of nodes and/or slow syncing, which does not happen with BCR because these anchors are on fairly good hardware and have good bandwidth.

Eventually since users tend to prefer SPV wallets, the roles of the typical Banknode will expand, as such it is necessary to incentivize ownership of one. As a matter of perspective you can also look at them as a security measure , with increasing demands as the roles of the node expand.

Thanks, commands work but starting bitcreditd or another instance for example "bitcreditd -datadir=/root/.bitcredit3" shouldn't show current wallet status info like "add public key of .." or transactions ?
It worked before, I must change something in conf or something has changed, now to see if wallet is updated I must to execute bitcredit-cli getinfo from time to time

@ bitcreditscc

Can we not run the BN straight from the wallet?

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

My wallet seems to also be having a really hard time connecting to the network.  Do we have a list of addnodes we should hard code into conf?

Thanks,
