Update New miner

Name: SilverFish Blade

Hashrate: 20Mh/s ± 10%

Power consumption: 220-240W

Interface: 2 x PCI-E

Network Interface: 2 x Ethernet for each blade, totally 4 ports

its price $133

Is this a new product?  The specs and pictures listed are exactly the same as the original silverfish miner, except that one was 25 Mh/s for 440W and this one is 20 Mh/s for 240W.

I'm going to guess it is the same miner and silverfish is just shipping them with lowered clock speeds now.  If these specs are correct, that is a pretty large boost in efficiency.

$133 shipped is still probably unlikely to ROI ever or in a reasonable time frame, but oh well.  It's cheap enough I might just order 1 or 2 to play with.

this is origially version
we do modification , lower the hashing to lower the power  consuming, this is key point for this miner

zehash, I don't think Unblock64 was accusing you of being a scammer - just telling people that because of the many scammers that do exist, and taking into account the fact that your site and forum registration are fairly new, Unblock64 themselves are skeptical.

There's a lot that you can do to help break down that skepticism:
  • Try to get a trusted member of this forum to vet for you.  That's not 100%, but it'll go a long way.
  • Try using as much original photography of your stock as you can.  If a 'right-click > Search Google for this image' easily leads to an image clearly being copied from another site, then you didn't bother to take your own product shots.  That's generally frowned upon as it is. ( As an aside - your Twin Chip Fury product pages include pictures of RedFury miners. )
  • Try to clarify your business address.  It seems to be a shared business address which may or may not serve as little more than a mailbox.  If you have an actual office location there, try sharing a picture of your office's listing in the building's directory / on the door.
  • Try to unify your phone details.  Your site has one set of Phone numbers, your facebook page has a different one.

But perhaps more to the point given your last statement:
these all devices is used not new
If these devices are used, then you should clearly indicate this on the product pages to which this applies.  Now, granted, most miners are 'used' by the manufacturer/reseller until sold anyway, but in this case it sounds like you're really talking pre-owned miners that you have bought up and are reselling, which really should be noted.
If you don't like the term 'used' or 'refurbished' (provided you checked them out, cleaned them off, etc.), call it 'certified pre-owned' - although admittedly, miners aren't cars Wink

Agree with that ... let's see if someone get something.

over on ltctalk there is a User (HEATHERR) which claims he received his ordered gridseeds yesterday - coincident both users registered almost at the same time :

ZEHASH : Date Registered: Today at 12:16:11 PM
HEATHERR: Date Registered: Today at 12:41:44 PM

It's the only user which states he got someting from the shop until now.

ZEHASH - If this is a false accusation I'm really sorry for that - but at the moment there are more scammer than trustworthy people out there. I lost enough money already ..

I just placed an order for 1 of the silverfish miners.  I'll take one for the team and see if they are legit.  I chatted with someone in support on their website last night (probably the same guy who posts in this thread).  I can't say why exactly, just got a good feeling these guys are more likely to be legit resellers of what must be an ocean of used scrypt ASICs rather than scammers, but I will keep you guys posted.

It's a nice price point for the hashing rate.  please keep the thread informed if you do receive them.  would love to see some 'received' pictures of the units as well.

Oh don't worry, I'm not a sock puppet for this guy.  Just a sock puppet created in preparation for a new scam coin being launched in a few days, DarkBlackCoin.  Yeah, I know it sucks but we are running out of ideas here.

Yeah, not that scrypt mining pays much these days, but I figure I could sell off these 2 power hungry Black Widows that I simply cannot justify running anymore as they don't even pay for their electricity.  I'd still be able to keep 80% of that hash at 25% of the power consumption.

If and when I get a tracking number, you guys will be first to know and if and when it delivers, will post pictures and my assessment of its performance.

Crossing my fingers on this one.  If this guy can deliver he could really fill a void in the fledgling scrypt mining scene.  At this point, slightly modified used ASICs are about as close to 3rd gen as we are gonna get  Roll Eyes.

What is your stock like on these silverfish miners?  I know there are only so many used silverfish miners in the world for you to underclock and resell.  If these initial sales prove you to be legit, you can add paypal support, and you can continue offering these at this price point with free EMS shipping, they have the potential to be a hot item around here.

Do you think you would be able to get more?  Like I said, I know there isn't an endless supply of these but clearly there is a demand if you can fill it.  I was prepared to snap up 5 more of these if the first one arrives okay and works well.  Unfortunately I am betting the first batch of these will be long gone before I get the chance though.

What is your stock like on these silverfish miners?  I know there are only so many used silverfish miners in the world for you to underclock and resell.  If these initial sales prove you to be legit, you can add paypal support, and you can continue offering these at this price point with free EMS shipping, they have the potential to be a hot item around here.

we was get 100pcs in total and 65 pcs sold out today and we have only 35 pcs avalible and we will update our paypal as soon as

Do you think you would be able to get more?  Like I said, I know there isn't an endless supply of these but clearly there is a demand if you can fill it.  I was prepared to snap up 5 more of these if the first one arrives okay and works well.  Unfortunately I am betting the first batch of these will be long gone before I get the chance though.

our next batch will be come Jan 26 but not confirm. this time we only have 21 pcs avalible because its sell is good, will try to get more device in this month

Ok, I can be patient for the second batch, I just wanted to confirm there will be a second batch!
Yes sure this batch only 5 device left

Ok, here is an update.  I do have a tracking number and it is showing up in the EMS tracking system, but it has yet to leave China and is not showing my address yet.  Assuming once it finally departs the country it's destination will be entered in properly and show up when I track it.

I have been checking the tracking number nonstop because I am dying to see it leave the country and see my address show up.  Obviously if someone were so inclined to scam, they could mail any old box of nothing and even give out the same tracking number to multiple people, knowing they have a few days to sucker some more victims in.  I don't believe that is what is happening here but it's always best to consider every way in which you could be getting scammed, because rest assured, around here if you don't think of it first a nefarious character who runs off with your BTC will.

Anyway, I'm kind of wishing I had paid for express shipping now because I am waiting for slow ass EMS to get this thing to me so I can confirm everything is kosher and order more!

I didn't say you were scamming me.  I said I would keep everyone posted on how my order goes.

Once the box shows up, all doubt will be alleviated and orders will come rolling in.  In the meantime, just letting everyone know the details so they can decide whether they want to risk an order yet or not.

I was beginning to worry I'd been duped, but I just checked my tracking information again and my package is in Chicago!  Its weird that my address never shows on the tracking info or that it doesn't show it getting scanned as it goes through customs.  Maybe the cheap economy EMS shipping tracks the package less extensively?  I don't know.

In any event, Chicago is only about a 3 hour drive away from me, so I imagine the package will be delivered to me today.  Hang tight all interested onlookers, in only about 12 hours I should have the package and hopefully confirmation of OP's legitimacy.

Yeah, that can't be right.  Wonder if he mixed up tracking numbers somehow?  That's a bit troubling because even if my miner shows up okay, I don't wanna make a large order if it's hit or miss with this guy.

Well, a few more hours until my miner SHOULD show up and OP pops in this thread regularly so I'd be surprised if he didn't say something about your tracking number issue.  The saga of zehash.com continues................

EMS's tracking is usually terrible. I use it when I absolutely have to (DHL is way better). There have been times that a package has gone from "Accepted at customs" to arriving at my doorstep with only 1 tracking update - when it was released from customs. DHL is way more extensive, and twice as fast in my experience.

I have no affiliation with zehash - I just have dealt with global shipping enough to know that EMS is pretty bad, but they (at least) don't lose the package as often as, say, USPS.

Why does it say "international letter"? I couldn't imagine a miner fitting into an envelope. Unless I am reading it wrong?

I thought I'll see if this company is trustworthy by first have to buy something cheap. Account created, passed along the CoinPayments payment gateway, CoinPayments sent an e-mail "Funds Received", and zehash sent an e-mail "Main Store: New Order #", and for a week ... nothing. Status of my order at the site is still "Processing". No shipping information found, also had no further emails.  Not really impressed so far.  Hopefully SockPuppetAccount has more luck.

Update, no miner received yet.  I think where it says ISC Chicago must have been customs right?  So it looks like it is in the hands of the USPS.  Guess if it doesn't show up tomorrow Saturday it should be here Monday.

Odd OP hasn't been around and fhh still doesn't have a valid tracking number.  I emailed him as well asking about how many silverfish miners he has in stock, anticipating making a larger order.  That was a few days ago and I still haven't heard back.  Suppose it is possible he just sent out 1 legitimately counting on scamming everyone else, but then mine took too long and he moved on?  It's also possible the package I receive is filled with scrap metal.  In any event, even if my miner shows up I won't be ordering more until we hear back from OP and until fhh gets a legitimate tracking number.  And we wait some more.............

It would be awesome but unfortunately all "cheap" scrypt ASIC offers recently turned out as a scam.

Mine is still on 'processing', and it would make me very surprised if SockPuppetAccount actually get something.

zehash does have on February 1 logged in to the forum, but nothing posted.

I think its pretty obvious to say that this was a scam now. I hope that everyone that bought something paid with paypal so they can get their money back and the scammers end up with nothing.

Just goes to show though the trouble that scammers will go to now buying domains and building nice websites.

The moral of this story is don't trust new websites registered for 1 year with whois protected domains that come from nowhere offering cheap products.

Yes a fake account to go with the OP's fake account and website. These scammers parents must be so proud they've ended up as nothing more than scumbag lowlife thieves.

escrow is not an option at zehash - not at most online stores, incidentally, even with the big boys. At them, however, you can often pay with paypal or credit card.

I have not paid that much - a weekend less luxurious dinner, not more - and hopefully help to ensure that others do not buy from zehash.
Would be nice if SockPuppetAccount let us know what happened to his package.

zehash still has a chance to explain things, but my negative mark on coinpayments is waiting to be sent - not help much as coinpayments know too.

SO you can't make a reverse payment on CoinPayments?

I am seriously surprised you guys got scammed because these miners were overpriced in the first place. I didn't think if they were expensive it was a scam.

No it most likely an empty envelope. Shipping bricks would make the shipping expensive.

Sorry, been distracted the past few days.  Forgot I needed to update this.  I am really not sure what this damn thing even is.  It looks like some sort of light up toy with 2 buttons, one says "LED" and one says "LASER".  There is this little ring attachment but I'm not sure what I am supposed to attach it to.  I was going to put in some batteries to figure out what it does, but when I pulled off the battery cover I discovered it took AAA and not AA.  Like 95% of electronics take AA but there has to be that one odd ball gadget or remote control that demands you go buy a few of AA's scrawny weakling little brother.  Not happening AAA!  Go away already, no one loves you!

Anyway, I know OP said his miner was hardware modified but unless this is an EXTREME modification, I'd say I got scammed.

Behold, my $133 chinese mystery toy!

That's a bike light.  The ring goes around your handle or back bar, and the contraption slides on top of that.

Well, I'm going to buy a bike and ride that thing 20 miles a day and I'll get in the best damn shape of my life.  Then I won't even feel like I got scammed because in the end it inspired me to better myself.  That will show him!

Or I'll eat this entire loaf of homemade banana bread I got from my mom's house yesterday, jerk off, take a nap, and forget about the whole thing.

Haven't made up my mind yet.

Well, clearly it was just about putting something in an envelope and getting it in the mail.  He could have just mailed a piece of paper with the words "You've been scammed!!".

Assuming he thought I would parade my tracking number around and start yelling about how they were legit.  I did make to sure to point out the fact that just because I had a tracking number doesn't mean they were legit, so hopefully no one ordered anything due to me.  All I did was volunteer to be the guinea pig and report the facts as they came in though.  Nothing to do but move on.  Good show zehash.com, and thank you for the most expensive bike light known to man.

the most expensive bike light known to man.
Sadly, the industry 'scammers' still have that beat.  Behold, the $594 bike light:
http://www.amazon.com/NiteRider-Pro-3600-LED-Light/dp/B009H9RUQC

And yes, those have their share of followers similar to, say, Monster cables.  Bought by people who honestly don't know any better, but like to think that they're connoisseurs, and don't have the money for the real high market stuff.  Oh yes, there's even more expensive bike lights. ( Not that anybody on this forum should care, but: just buy a cheapo chinese flashlight that mounts to rails - much cheaper, about as reliable, more versatile, and if it does break, you just buy a new one for the same price as RMA'ing one of those expensive turds. )
Unfortunately they can't really be called 'scammers' because you do get exactly what's being advertised - the scam only being in the ridiculous mark-up on price.

But big ups to SockPuppetAccount for replying and basically being a guinea pig!

Yeah thanks for testing out the service, I'm sorry you got scammed. Just goes to show us all what to look out for in the future. Scammers are everywhere now.

Wow, well I guess with the right marketing, you can convince people your stuff is truly the best just because it's the most expensive.  I suppose to a truly ultra-rich person, like top 0.01-0.1%, there isn't much of a difference between spending $5 on a bike light and $600 on a bike light.

Audiophiles are the best for that shit.  There is a sticky somewhere on the head-fi forums where this guy reviews a dozen different POWER CABLES.  Some of them costing hundreds or thousands of dollars.  And this guy is actually convinced they make a difference in the slightest.  Most delusional group of idiots I have ever seen.

Oh, and this one is classic.  The 13,500$ HMDI cable!  http://www.amazon.com/AudioQuest-Diamond-52-49-Braided-Cable/dp/B00IL3TZSQ/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1423422923&sr=1-2&keywords=diamond+hdmi

Anyway, just had to throw that out there.  Abandon thread!

I heard on the radio the other day they were talking about 'perfect' $50k speaker cable on Amazon I think and some had been sold. Obviously people out there with more money than sense.
