Pirate, if you see anyone who runs a botnet (reeses). Can you give them a good beat down, and bring some pics for the forum.

No pics.

All digital devices must be locked up at the front desk BEFORE hand. Just sayin.......

Don't let him make it to the door then..

You're the one who said botnet, Barney.  Not I.  Now get out of our cool kids thread.

Even if pirate only has one eye, he will see through that BS.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

How the PirateShip™ is going to traverse the Nevada desert is what I've been wondering.  Huh

Bold move considering people will learn how you look and who you really are. It's almost as if this was a stunt to inspire confidence.
You don't know what he looks like already? You must not be important enough.

Clearly he has a patch on his eye and a wooden leg...

A duh..   how much more do you need ?

What? No shoulder-mounted parrot? What kind of pirate is this pretender?

Monkeys were also used as a shoulder companions..  this I will also accept..  Smiley

His ship is probably better known as the "Flying Dutchman".

From Wikipedia:
Quote
Sir Walter Scott (1771–1832), a friend of John Leyden's, was the first to refer to the vessel as a pirate ship, writing in the notes to Rokeby; a poem (first published December 1812) that the ship was "originally a vessel loaded with great wealth, on board of which some horrid act of murder and piracy had been committed" and that the apparition of the ship "is considered by the mariners as the worst of all possible omens."

Note that pirate is approximately 200 years too late...

It's already known who he is. Has been for months.  Search "Trendon Shavers" on these forums.  Geez.

Depending on what time off I can get from work, I may or may not get to see every day of DefCon but if someone wants to set up a Bitcoin meetup for that weekend I live in Vegas and I'd love to attend.

What kinda place you have in mind ?   Casino, strip joint, steak house ?

How many are attending as of now ?

Obviously you have to work around some defcon stuff..

Any preliminary thoughts on this ?

Look at a pirate, eye to eye if you dare.

Pirate, I have a question. Am I supposed to concentrate both my eyes on your unpatched eye? Do I act as though I am looking into two uncovered eyes? What's the protocol here?
