if you want to use only the gpu, you need to only put device 1 on the reaper.conf since 0 is the cpu, also aggression put on 13 and worksize 256
should be :
reaper.conf
kernel reaper.cl save_binaries yes enable_graceful_shutdown no long_polling yes
device 1 mine litecoin
litecoin.conf
host 178.79.171.106 (litecoinpool) port 9332 user removed pass removed
protocol litecoin
worksize 256 aggression 13 threads_per_gpu 1 sharethreads 18 lookup_gap 2 gpu_thread_concurrency 6144

on tip more, if your gonna use multi gpu on the same rig, dont run everything on the same reaper instance, copy and create another reaper folder, and just change the device in the reaper.conf, and run both reaper one for each gpu, works like a charm and super stable, i got a lot of BSOD before that, and if you got the litecoin wallet with the minerd on it make sure you dont run the miner in there otherwise is a CRASH for sure.

Increase aggression, on my 5830 I have aggression set to 18 and on my 5970 it's set to 17. Around 12-14 and the system will still be pretty usable for average tasks. If it's a dedicated rig try 18.

Make sure in the config file device is written in all lowercase. kernel reaper.cl save_binaries yes enable_graceful_shutdown no long_polling yes platform 1 device 0 device 1
mine litecoin It looks like reaper doesn't like capital letters which is why you were getting Warning: unknown property "DEVICE" in configuration file. Warning: unknown property "DEVICE" in configuration file. then it would default to using all devices.

You have the following platforms: List of platforms: 0 Intel(R) OpenCL 1 AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing If you want to mine only to GPU's you shoud say it in reaper.conf kernel reaper.cl save_binaries yes enable_graceful_shutdown no long_polling yes device 0 device 1 platform 1
mine litecoin this disables Intel(R) OpenCL, because you say to Reaper to use only platform 1 (AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing). Using platform 1 (AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing) u say to reaper to use device 0 (Cypress 1) and device 1 (Cypress 2). After editing reaper.conf and litecoin.conf always delete *.bin files.

Also, I have noticed, my all my card temps are like 20c lower by mining on reaper for litecoin than mining bitcoins. I am only doing this because I have loans to pay, and this is a test for a day or so to see if I make out more by mining ltc and trading for btc. For my lenders to know.

Not going to hurt to play around. also, if you are cpu mining on the other PC's, are you using reaper ? Cause there is better cpu mining sofware. Nope, for cpu mining I am using Pooler miner and for the other cpu on another computer using pooler as well. I just configured my prifinity64 to set reaper to use use core 3 and Pooler set to 0,1 and 2 core and running pooler as 3 cores. I put it work back to 128 and the gpu_thread_concurrency back 6144 , I receive around .2% to .3% error. which is ebtter than the .4% and much better than 4%. And actually, when I used work set to 64 or 256 my hash rate was breaking from the original 333khash/s to 289 khash/s.

And using 18 I would think, should have no effect on my desktop use at all. Find that odd? My stales jumped up to 1.4%.

I'm actually gonna stop mining litecoins on the gpu's.
I would make around 138.484 LTC a day = 0.34759 BTC a day at the exchange. 0.34759 x 7 = 2.43313 BTC a week. When I mine bitcoins, I make 3.12 a week.
As stated this was a test and it isn't worth mining litecoins atm. And I have learned quite a bit by this experience. So it wasn't a waste.

Um ok...most ltc miners actually are making more BTC via LTC mining. Not sure where your numbers are going wrong. hm. I took my bitcoin mining hash rate and applied it to http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator.phpThen I took the amount I would make in a day of litecoin mining 138.484 LTC, converted it over at https://btc-e.com/exchange/ltc_btc to btc x 7. Am I doing something wrong here? My litecoin hashrate would be 330 khash/s from the gpu's + 15 khash/s from one cpu = 345 khash/s.

Well, my configs are above. my overclocks are like so. one 5850 is 915core/550mem other 5850 is 1000c/350mem. Is there a hardware comparison somewhere? I posted the cmd window results as well.

over at coinotron, they have a lil chart that show profitability. it was just over 3 earlier. Now at 4.4. Have you seen the price of litecoin recently ? http://picturepush.com/public/8665046my stales are very high, but I am still tweaking hm. good I am guessing for that 4.4? yea my stales jump from 0% to 10.0% Edit: These stales are so weird, slowly decreasing now. 4.6% Edit2: I jumped to a different pool, litecoinpool.org, I get .05%-.06% stales versus 6.0% at ozco.in 4.4 I can only imagine is good. Green means go I can't say its 4.4 times as profitable to mine litecoins but I think were doing ok for now. stales seem to come with higher aggression, not sure why the pool choice would make such a difference. Keep in mind that litecoinpool has a 5% fee. Having said that, I also mine there

LoL, I'm always asking questions, my bad, I'll try n dim them down a lot.

I have not with my configuration atm but in the past have but that is irrelevant, I will do some quick testing with 64. I received a ton of "weird connection repsonse" errors with 128. 256 seems to be great. As above, Ima test out the 64. Think 64 will bang out more hash rates?

It does for me, or I would not have suggested it twice.

64 gives me horrible results. 64 GPU 655.4kH/s, shares: 4|5, stale 55.56%, GPU errors: 5.051%, ~513.365 kH/s, 12s
256 GPU 790.2kH/s, shares: 94|4, stale 4.082%, GPU errors: 0.0618%, ~751.572 kH/s, 1

Here are my reconfigured, config files for anyone that has 5850's. Jay1337 gave me fantastic advice and I used it, I changed my gpu_thread_concurrency from 6641 to 5600 for the 5850's , the cards whopped from 717 khash/s to 788-789-790 khash/s. gpu_thread_concurrency should be -- amount of shaders your card has X amount of threads you use = gpu_thread_concurrency
certain 5850s v 4480 or 5600 gpu_thread_concurrency
litecoin.confhost litecoinpool.org port 9332 user removed pass removed
protocol litecoin
worksize 256 aggression 17 threads_per_gpu 1 sharethreads 18 lookup_gap 2 gpu_thread_concurrency 5600
reaper.confkernel reaper.cl save_binaries yes enable_graceful_shutdown no long_polling yes platform 1 device 0 device 1

strange, but I do have a multi GPU setup so I prob should have mentioned that. Also, I think my gpu_thread_concurrency is at 4800 or something.. a lot of tweaking in the last few days. lol

How many cards do you have and what kind? I've tried 4800 and I had received a ton of errors stating [weird response from server] < Déjà vu, think I've said this somewhere, maybe above. It's like a puzzle or an easy combination lock to receive nice results in ltc mining.

1 rig consists of a 6950, 3x 6850, and a 6770 after a lot of different setting changes was getting around 1.4 Mhash with 0 GPU errors and <1% stale Im curios now why I see gains with smaller worksize but im done messing with settings and actually, Im mining BTC on most of my cards now You are so right about it being a puzzle
