hm. good I am guessing for that 4.4?

yea my stales jump from 0% to 10.0%

Edit:
These stales are so weird, slowly decreasing now. 4.6%

Edit2:
I jumped to a different pool, litecoinpool.org, I get .05%-.06% stales versus 6.0% at ozco.in

4.4 I can only imagine is good. Green means go Smiley  I can't say its 4.4 times as profitable to mine litecoins but I think were doing ok for now.

stales seem to come with higher aggression, not sure why the pool choice would make such a difference. Keep in mind that litecoinpool has a 5% fee. Having said that, I also mine there Wink

Ouch, 5%. That probably all combined with everyone pays for the stales, along with everything else I imagine?

LoL, I'm always asking questions, my bad, I'll try n dim them down a lot.

Updated the wiki again for the 5850's.
https://github.com/coblee/litecoin/wiki/Mining-hardware-comparison#wiki-ATI_AMD_GPUs

I squeezed quite a bit more hash rate out of em.

Did you try with worksize 64  ??

Did you try with worksize 64  ??

I have not with my configuration atm but in the past have but that is irrelevant, I will do some quick testing with 64. I received a ton of "weird connection repsonse" errors with 128. 256 seems to be great. As above, Ima test out the 64.

Think 64 will bang out more hash rates?

It does for me, or I would not have suggested it twice.

64 gives me horrible results.

Code:
GPU 790.2kH/s, shares: 94|4, stale 4.082%, GPU errors: 0.0618%, ~751.572 kH/s, 1

Here are my reconfigured, config files for anyone that has 5850's.

Jay1337 gave me fantastic advice and I used it, I changed my gpu_thread_concurrency from 6641 to 5600 for the 5850's , the cards whopped from 717 khash/s to 788-789-790 khash/s.

Quote
gpu_thread_concurrency should be
-- amount of shaders your card has
X amount of threads you use = gpu_thread_concurrency

certain 5850s v
4480 or 5600 gpu_thread_concurrency

litecoin.conf
Code:
host litecoinpool.org
port 9332
user removed
pass removed

protocol litecoin

worksize 256
aggression 17
threads_per_gpu 1
sharethreads 18
lookup_gap 2
gpu_thread_concurrency 5600

reaper.conf
Code:
kernel reaper.cl
save_binaries yes
enable_graceful_shutdown no
long_polling yes
platform 1
device 0
device 1

strange, but I do have a multi GPU setup so I prob should have mentioned that. Also, I think my gpu_thread_concurrency is at 4800 or something.. a lot of tweaking in the last few days. lol

How many cards do you have and what kind?

I've tried 4800 and I had received a ton of errors stating [weird response from server] < Déjà vu, think I've said this somewhere, maybe above.

It's like a puzzle or an easy combination lock to receive nice results in ltc mining.

1 rig consists of a 6950, 3x 6850, and a 6770 after a lot of different setting changes was getting around 1.4 Mhash with 0 GPU errors and <1% stale

Im curios now why I see gains with smaller worksize but im done messing with settings and actually, Im mining BTC on most of my cards now Smiley
