I think the dev is doing a great job to promote the future of digital currency, payment technology and communication. teppupkcos; I respect your point of view and your strong belief in the 'status quo' of things and your reluctance to experimentation and progress. What I do not respect or understand is your feeble attempt to impose your narrowness of mind and vision on others.

This is not a scam in any way and the dev is working to better life for all, even you...

Don't pay any mind to those sorts of statements and comments (I certainly don't). They're not going to make one bit of difference to our progress. Everybody is allowed their opinion.

Jumia
Kasoa
GoShop
OLX
Konga

hoping these e-commerce sites will use Kobo as an alternative payment scheme in the future. OLX is fairly popular in the Southeast Asian region.

Thanks for this. I'll definitely be contacting those sites. It looks very promising.

I've been working on the wallet sync issue over the last few hours so your wallet may have problems syncing.

I'm guessing that only affects the mobile wallet, as you have not specified. I have 13 connections on the windows client! Blocks are staying up to date as usual since the new desktop version.

Yes, all the work I'm doing is only for the mobile wallets. The desktop wallets will not be affected.

The mobile wallets may stall over the next few hours. I have things to deal with. I've narrowed down where the problem is coming from. It's from the backend, not the wallet itself. I've been using a workaround to keep things syncing. I'll look into possibly scripting it later today if it's reliable.

tie-up potential?

http://ventureburn.com/2015/01/fintech-startup-azimo-tapping-west-africas-remittance-market/

Together these eight countries have a combined population of over 100 million people and GDP of US$80-billion. The World Bank estimates that nearly US$3-billion was remitted to the region in 2012

I want to warn all. I sent a few coins on the market, but the balance is zero exbito.com is a scam. Be careful. Max REPOST https://twitter.com/pollystripe/status/591622333330288640

Can you provide a transaction ID? How long ago did you send the coins? Are you sure you sent them to the right address? Did you contact their support. Have screenshots of everything, so people can believe you.

~200btc trading volume on that exchange. That is a lot for a new exchange. I saw the same layout before on another exchange what was also scam. Be careful before you sending you're coins to that exchange.

UPDATE

Apologies for the lack of updates. I've been dealing with some personal stuff. Please download the latest mobile wallets. There's a number of code changes. These will sync much more reliably. Once the backed issue is resolved they will sync properly. Please remember to backup your wallet before you update the app.

Android wallet works fine on my old G2.  Smiley

Do the mobile wallets do the PoS staking thing yet or just the desktop clients?

Any chance of the source please for v2.1?

At the moment only the desktop wallets can stake. We are looking into mobile staking but the current mobile wallets don't have that ability. The v2.1 source code is not going to be released at this time. It's being worked on (see update).

UPDATE

Windows Wallet with QR capabilities (v2.1.0.2) released

Click here to download the v2.1.0.2 WINDOWS wallet (full Installer)

MAC wallet to follow. Please backup your wallet before updating to v2.1.0.2.

I've tested with QR codes and it works (to an extent). It is able to scan the QR code but produces an error when any amount is requested. This needs to be fixed, but it's not a showstopper right now. The updated wallet now allows you to send coins from the android wallet to desktop. Unfortunately KOBO amount has to be inputted manually.

A main update plus updated OP will be posted on the android sync issue is resolved.
