I just discovered this forum after finding the coin on a mining pool and have been mining it all day.  Are these coins going to have any value if in my wallet? I will read more about the swap in the mean time.

Sorry to say, but Geo turned into Ubiq's token on 25th of January and current geo coin chain is obsolete. Therefore all of mining related with Geo is over.

In order for the balances to be carried over to the new chain they had to be present in your wallet as block #1568125 occured, just as mentioned in developer's tweet - https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/956940994787753984.

I bought GEO coins on Yobit until 25 January (unit 1568125), not bought and not sold later. Couldn't send GEO to Bittex because I don't have a registration on it. Do I have any rights to the new GEO? You have to give an official answer about GEO on Yobit, maybe it's the Scam? Do you have a dialogue with Yobit as well as with Bittex?

Yes, this is the right thing.
Then, you had to add the contract address in the wallet, just like you would do with a Ethereum token. I don't remember if it was given somewhere here...

All depends how the overall market is doing, if BTC is dropping by the thousands we will too but if it is not doing much or maybe even rising slightly I think we will spike followed by the dump after.

I have updated the http://geo.money website with the new information now that the Bittrex market has reopened and 1/2 exchanges have made it through the swap process.  I've also updated the links to the UBQ Fusion wallet which is capable of handling the new GEO token balances.  Make sure to install Fusion wallet and resync the blockchain.  Then go to Contracts > Watch Token and add in the GeoCoin contract address: 0x500684CE0D4f04aBeDff3e54fCF8acC5E6CFc4bD

Just reached out to CoinMarketCap support to inform them that Bittrex market has now reopened.  Hopefully they can reactivate the price discovery on their end shortly
