A hundred dollar visa gift card and a hundred dollar lowes gift card will buy me lots of bitcoins.

(re: me calling him out on his bullshit about not covering his current 52+BTC defaulted loan)

The fact that he was first relying on a friend selling their car/Rolex in order to pay his rent and is now relying on selling Christmas/birthday presents to pay squall suggests that dank's parents aren't aware their precious snowflake has dug himself into a financial hole (otherwise, why didn't he ask for money instead of gift cards for presents or ask them to pay what he owed instead of giving him gifts for Christmas/his birthday).  God knows what other real world debts he's managed to run up during his experiment with "independence".

And how does he figure that $200 worth of giftcards is going to buy him "lot" of Bitcoins?  Even if he can get face value for the cards (which he hasn't advertised for sale in Marketplace), it's still only going to buy him less than a third of the BTC he still owes squall (who's honestly one of the kindest, most patient lenders out there when it comes to giving people a break and has already gone above and beyond by ceasing to charge interest on the outstanding balance).

For what it's worth, I don't think dank borrowed funds intending not to repay them.  I just think he made the mistake which many teenagers (including my own) have made of assuming that financial independence is easy (it isn't, even when you have a stable source of income, let alone when you don't) and basing his budget on unrealistic "best-case" scenarios.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

Yeah it reminds me of the same thing a lot of kids do with their first credit card.

Until Squall says otherwise the loan has not been repaid. I wouldn't call it a default just yet, as I'm sure dank will find a way to get daddy to pay for his obligations, but this latest delay should be a huge fucking red flag to whoever wishes to loan dank money in the future.

I wonder what he did with the original loan money...

True, I am not a big poster, only post what I feel necessary, He still ows 52 BTC, He has been talking to me, I know he will pay back, As his life here would be over, I am annoyed, As I had to borrow funds to pay people I owed, Which will cost me, I allready have phone numbers and details on him, But it's not time for that yet, Untill I say otherwise, He has not paid me back. Anything else I say would just be troll food.

Good luck, and tip of the hat for not charging interest as you should. Even though I'm barely containing my own troll posts I'll avoid raising a fuss about dank's almost default, don't want to complicate your recovery job.

This being said I wonder how dank's karma must be doing...

many teenagers (including my own)

Haha this is bizarre. I took you for early twenties at the oldest. What do your children think about your thousands upon thousands of posts on a forum devoted to a currency that you have never used?

"Gee whiz, mom sure needs a new hobby!"

[edit: Sorry I just realized that sounds really mean but I meant it in a light hearted way. Just for the record I think you are one of the very, very few lucid and intelligent posters on here.]

Just had a birthday, so 19 now.

My youngest is 21 so she's of the generation where everyone checks their phones for FB updates every 5 minutes - she and her friends have probably all posted more FB status updates in the last 18 months than the number of messages I've posted on here.  She does, however, believe that "Americans are weird" - which is her perception of the online communities I frequent in general rather than this one specifically.

None of my kids live at home, so my online life isn't something with which they come into contact really unless I send them a link to something - which I do very rarely regarding anything because link-spamming is as annoying as email and ICQ forwarding.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

BadBear, let's not forget the fools that exacerbate individuals for interest.  When we use interest, we seek infinite gain with finite resources, creating a cycle of debt, a system where whoever takes the most has the most, yet has the least at the same time.

I did not learn this until experiencing it first hand with Dank Bank.  I no longer seek financial assistance, money will never change the world in a positive light.  Money is a valueless concept used to manipulate and control populations.  People will see it for what it is, a system of greed, shortly.

When we abandon money as a whole, we will find equality on earth, the world is ours.

I'd like it if you checked out this post regarding an explanation to provide a higher understanding of who I am and what will happen:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=135299.0

We can make a conscious effort to disband greed by not spending any money this Thursday, January 10th.  We can implement the change peacefully, if we choose so.

I was more so referring to the US government and all contributing financial institutions.

And your plan is to pull out of your ass with 24 hours notice a day of not spending money. Wow, do you even know how the world works? Assuming the premise is correct and that people want to join in, you are aware that you need to let them know about this, right?

Quite the fumble, especially since I'll make sure to pull the trigger on all those kinda cool kinda useless purchases I wanted to do, and will shoot some money to charities I wanted to help this year.

So do mummy and daddy know about the arrest warrant, the drugs, the selling of your possessions and the fact that you owe money all over the place ('cos I'll guarantee you've stopped paying IRL, too) dank?

Your "soul-mate" must be quite a catch if she's willing to settle for an unemployable, drug-fucked pan-handler like you.  I guess homelessness is one of her lifestyle goals.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.
