The specifications are designed so that the last iCoin will be mined in approximately 900 years! As world financial markets change, and more cryptocurrency supplies are generated, iCoin will eventually operate in mICN from a consumer standpoint, as to keep trade fair and balanced. Our belief is that most other digital currency systems will follow suit as coin productions increase and market adoption rates surge.

New Management
The original developer, Captain Hook, premined and dumped his coins. This led the community to scramble to minimize losses.However, the iCoin community did not give up. The block chhain is still running and difficulty is low. I, and the community as a whole, would like to see the coin reach its full potential. This means that WE will need developers, programers, marketers, and public relations. All helpers will be payed from donation fund. Anybody that would like to help, please join the cause.

Plans
I plan to host giveaways on several online forums and some sites which are not forums. With enough momentum, I would like to take the promotions off of the internet and onto the real world. I would like to create bumper stickers, t-shirts, and other knickknacks to spread the word. Every bit helps. I am taking donations and will be transparent with donations towards development.

I didn't mean to say that anyone should buy any coin, but the fact that this is an old coin shouldn't be a negative thing if a new team decides to take over. The reason it's been considered almost dead is that the original dev quit and no one stepped up to take his place. I think often people don't buy an already established coin because they think it's expensive and they missed the train, and it costs a lot to get a decent share of the float.

iCoin probably has the most brandable name that exists, so it would be shame if it was forgotten.

Depends on whether we want asics, gpu's, or botnets - or all of them. Also of importance is that the miner for the algo is already optimized so we don't get a few miners speeding 2x-3x the hashrate than the rest of us and dumping at half the price.

Personally, I don't have good hardware. I'm on a laptop. However, my concern is that changing the algo could make it hard to mine for new people. If it can be made seamless for them, we can start considering options and start looking for a developer who will accept iCoin because we have no bitcoin to pay.
