I had 300 coin wallets with a total size of 11 GB sitting quietly in my roaming directory. Purged yesterday.. All of them went to a trash can and got permanently deleted. If u still use a desktop wallet for storing crypto ure lost.

next blockchain server is up at 94.177.254.127

Hi Sinpey,

Thanks for maintaining a node for so long.
I have started syncing with yours and will be accepting connections too.
Once some time has passed and this node has had a chance to find peers and other peers have had a chance to connect here, I will report what a census of the network looks like for early 2017.

Best Regards,

Hey everyone,

I recently found my old iCoin wallet. There is still a bit in it so I tried making some transactions. The wallet syncs fine but the transactions do not get verified. I'm certainly no expert (and for some time didn't do anything with digital currencies) so some help would be appreciated!

Hello HvSch,

If you would care to share a transaction ID, we can look to see what information is stored about it in the blockchain.

Hello iCoin Dev's,

Was just wondering what is going on in the development world of iCoin at the mo? I think it would be a good idea to let the community know at least once a month of any developments etc. Just keeps us, "the community", aware and encourages new customers to buy iCoin.

Hello,

Are there prospective coin developers in this audience who are interested in partnering with me to evaluate a plan to resurrect the iCoin client and modernize it?
The original developer has abandoned the project long ago and we've been basically just watching the blockchain stay alive despite no new development.

On first glance, iCoin looks like a descendant of Litecoin v0.6.3 and we could probably modernize the client by including the upstream improvements.
On second glance, iCoin looks like a descendant of Dogecoin v1.1 (from Bells then LuckyCoin) and then Litecoin v0.6.3 (from Bitcoin).
There was also a bit of TestCoin in src/makefile.osx.

Best Regards,
-Chicago

Can't be of any help in the coding department sadly. Sad

But getting up to date with the latest Litecoin codebase which in turn is as far as I understand it branched from Bitcoin sounds like a good plan. That would allow merging latest Bitcoin innovations such as SegWit and enable Lightning Networks development.

Hello,

It looks like our community's old website has been replaced and a new altcoin has began using the iCoin name.
    What are your thoughts?

-Chicago

My thoughts are that iCoin is an amazing name. The new project should've done their research and realize the original has already existed for many years. They will be gone soon enough though and iCoin will remain.

Hello,

the most critical problem is that there are no original iCoin developers. Unfortunately I'm not a programmer Sad
I have been donating the blockchain at chainz.cryptoid.info since CaptainHook had left.
I have also built some blockchain servers not to lose the continuity.
And I'm willing to go on...

It is a pity that we missed the chance for purchasing the geticoin.com domain, but the domain name doesn't mean the success. I'm the owner of geticon.net and .eu and these are ready for propagation.

If there are some devs, that also think that iCoin is a great name, they should join this community. From my perspective it is not a good idea create "new" iCoin. I would recommend to join this community and use all the support.

I'm willing to create ST environment for dev and tests and also support the whole team

What do all of you think?

Have a nice weekend & Happy Easter
S.

This indicates that someone bought their old website with an intention to revamp it under a sightly changed name. Just added i in front of the word coin and launched this democratic bullshit. Oh I remember what happened. Somebody even asked me to buy that website for 0.06 btc. My first thought was that shithead offering me a useless site was drunk and I put him on ignore.

BTC - XIN (Icoin) has been listed on Novaexchange. Can we not do anything about this. Can't believe they are try to steal the iCoin name. there will be only one iCoin and thats ICN....

Maybe you should contact Novaexchange and get the real iCoin Listed.
