Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

A recent blockchain download will be added to blog.bbqcoin.org.

Do not download a blockchain from other sources, its bad practice and has always known to be and is also a big risk.

BBQ is even worse than scamcoin - it is a joke. It started as a joke and still is. The fact Bter added it to exchange won't change any of the fact about BBQ.

with BQC never was intended to be scam coin like recen ones.. BQC just gain his possition in the right way.

BQC was never intended to be a scam, but it wasn't intended to be placed on an exchange either. The name "BBQcoin" should clue you in to how serious this coin is supposed to be. It is not innovative and it has no active development. Nothing about this coin warrants taking it as a serious currency.

My name was simply a play on "Blue Engineer" from Team Fortress. I am not affiliated with Microsoft or the Azure project.

BBQ is even worse than scamcoin - it is a joke. It started as a joke and still is. The fact that Bter added it to exchange won't change any of the fact about BBQ.

It started as a coin to just be between friends.  It's name was a joke.  The coin has developed a strong following though.  After it was almost killed and abandoned it was picked up and restarted as a more serious project.  It's fundamentals are solid.  The coin's origins shouldn't prevent greater adoption.

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

Really? Have you checked BBQ blockchain? Certainly not, because if you did, you'd know the truth.

So.. whats is your problem with the people loving BQC?? you cant blame the creator because no one knows where is he.. "cubox" you cant accusse him of nothing, he probably owns no coins now.. so why is wrong tha the people loves BQC?

BBQcoin originated the bait-and-switch that we have been seeing others recently attempt, where you pretend you only want a new coin so you and a few friends or players of a game or friends who are players of a game just want it to play with it / use it in a game.

As soon as Greedi actually built the coin for the bait-and-switch artist it was posted on the forum with some feeble excuse along the lines of oh gosh this was only going to be private for me and a few friends but now that I see it / have it I cannot resist showing it to you lot...

That is why Greedi tried to kill it: he was scammed into creating it, by false pretences; aka its creation was a bait-and-switch scam.

(Note its creation being a bait and siwtch scamming the person who was employed under false pretences is different from the thing he was employed to create being itself a scam.)

Does the name not matter at all if one wants mainstream adoption at some point? Cheesy
I would think the only franchises willing to implement a payment option called "BBQ" would be online shops selling tasty high quality steaks to your home in appropriate cooler boxes.

/edit/
or veggies. let's not offend anyone.

Got a message back from an exchange that they will start trading BBQCoins in 72 hours  Smiley They are testing and setting up, no exact ETA but said "within 72 hours".

Last time I got such a message was:

Just got it confirmed by e-mail:

CNC is coming to a second "major" exchange soon (<48 hours, they are setting up and testing)

Didn't get a confirmation, nor a denial, from another one I mailed.

That's great news Smiley
First FTC shortly after I mailed, now CNC Smiley
