I think there are more than 3 bitcoin forum out there

There would be less trolling and a bunch of people would be out of a job (paid sig spam).

A bunch of business will be down as well, as they can meet the world only through BitcoinTalk, e.g. Gambling sites without license.

New forums will definitely spring up trying to take over the role of the leading Bitcoin forum that Bitcointalk is now occupying.  We may see many small bitcoin forums around.

I think there'll be no effect on Bitcoin directly. People would just make a new similiar forum or move on to another, but I doubt the new "Bitcointalk" will be as populated as this one.

I think Bitcoin itself would be unaffected. A new forum would eventually sprout-up and take its place.

Less trolling, less signature spam snd less stupidiyy overall. Less market for promoting bitcoin businesses since this is like bitcoin google.

I thing is it the most likely case. The community is used to having a gathering place for bitcoin users to chat and discuss about bitcoin issues. If BCT is gone permanently, another forum will take it's place.

If you are referring to the price of bitcoin, I believe members here have no effect on the general direction of the price. If we are so influential, price would be soaring ages ago.

The price goes up in the short term as a bull rally as the fear has no place to fester
In the long term the fear builds up and creates another crash of course

it's not too much effect on bitcoin price if bitcointalk down
but not with altcoin, this forum is the source of information

I have already seen a increase in people using Reddit and other forums.

This is still one of the best ways to get up to date information on most subjects linked to Bitcoin. There have been a increase in Ponzi type advertizing and also a lot of scams, but it will happen on most social media, where these guys target a large audience.

The response on something, if you have a question, is still very fast, which shows, it's still being used.

Let's not be too negative, there are still some positive things happening here.

One less place to get knowledge and news from. This forum is full of knowledgeable people and it's always good to learn from them. Most questions asked would get a detailed explanation within 1 hour. I personally use this forum because of the active community here.
