You can withdraw to PoSWallet and it will stake there.

It looks like you don't have the most up-to-date wallet.  The new wallet is v1.2 and available here: http://www.neucoin.org/en/
Once you have the updated version, then add the nodes to it and it should work, it did for me!

I agree that you should withdraw your balance to PoSWallet: https://poswallet.com/sign-up.php?referral=JohnnyArmani  They will stake your NeuCoin as well as stake any other POS coins you may have. Looks like they've added an exchange part to the site as well, so you can also trade NeuCoin again.

Where have you seen such rumors? I see it as fact that Neucoin, because of it's totally disastrous design, couldn't ever survive and also makes it impossible to come back. And besides it's monster-premine and hyper-inflation there never was anything unique - a simple PoS-copycat. They've sold this for 4012 BTC (https://blockchain.info/address/3MrNuksZ1VePU3dGiSQFiouWerJUJgDkfH) to unexperienced Investors.

Measured at today prices: about $11 million. It was much less at the time of the ICO of course, but what is NEU worth now? Nothing. And NEU-Investors had about one year of total frustration and without any hope.

The appropriate word for this scheme is fraud/scam. Actually I'm surprised that the Scammers behind this got away with this so easy.

Luckily I also participated in the NEM airdrop and made enough fortune to compensate these losses.. It looks obvious to me that greed has taken over. Such a shame, it seemed so promising with the best and friendliest wallet around.

That would be nice, can you lead this effort? 
However ,imho, reviving a coin for the sake of bringing it back to life makes no much sense.. we now have newer coins that emphasize community support and enhance features to attract mass adoption. Some examples: Decred, Byteball, DeepOnion...
