Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I think, the most of those who writes in this thread never touched Neucoin.

The chart looks like as if everybody would dump it. The buywalls are melting.

Maybe I have rocks in my head, But I like this price, worth A throwing in a BTC at least.....

That's pretty altruistic of you, providing liquidity for those with brains, or remorse to dump into.

You do understand the maths, right?  Or have you been injecting marijuanas?

Yes buywalls are melting fast, there was a big buywall at 2300 now it's almost gone.

It's gone, price still decreasing - and it goes without saying, that the Neucon regime/team is still the only buying party.

I really would like to know how many Coins are still out there, in the hands of in real/independent Investors...

Imagine where the price would be if they would've really sold the whole ICO to the public. ;-)

Or imagine if they would distribute really what they stake everyday. Since launch: 236 Mio new Neucoin.

236% inflation out of market-perspective.

Oh boy... nice dreaming:

Exactly! At launch, neucoin had 3 billion coins and the presale price was $0.01 which means the marketcap was 30 million USD. So if neu reaches a marketcap of 4 billion, a presale investor would have multipled his investment around 130 times.
http://forum.neucoin.org/t/neucoin-price-will-rise-or-fall-more/2049/9

Som facts: Coinmarketcap shows Neucoin with a marketcap of $ 911,580
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/neucoin/

Why? They calculate only those Coins that are on the market right now: 142,221,951 NEU
They also hide the > 3 billion that are hold by the team.

So you have to chose how you want to calculate. With just 142 Mio or with more than 3 billion. If you would like to calculate with > 3 billion, you should ask where would the price be with 3,2 billion of Neu-supply free on the market - but with the current marketcap. ;-)

If you would like to make predictions about the price, you should ask how the price will react if this irrational high inflation would be distributed. Let's say, everyday just 1 Mio new Coins on the market. How long would that take? Nearly "forever", because they stake more than 7 Mio everyday. How would the price react with just 1 Mio new Coins everyday? How would be the reaction with that amount they stake everyday?

Right, the price would sink like the titanic.

Those numbers are fanciful already because they include 15 million NoKoins that were "made “available for sale” by the foundations":

•   NeuCoins sold or made “available for sale” by the foundations
o   15 million NeuCoins were advanced after launch to multiple market makers whose roles are to provide liquidity and sell NeuCoins on exchanges over time to fund the foundations’ fiat expenses. All NeuCoin sales by market makers will be reported on a monthly basis. So far none have been sold, but the 15 million nevertheless count as “available” supply.

I wonder what the Neucoin team thinks mining is buying them.

They are paying 164304 Neucoin per day to the miners, who just dump it on the market.

Each block that's mined has so such a small internal trust value that it can be wiped out on a whim (as shown by this latest fiasco), so its not helping with security at all. In fact, it hurts it because if people using Neucoin don't know the difference between PoW and PoS blocks, they won't realize that having 100 PoW confirmations of their transaction means nothing.

In ten years, there will be approximately 100 billion Neucoin. So a market cap of 4 billion USD would put the price at $0.04. This would be extremely profitable for early investors that mine continuously.

[...] This would be extremely profitable for early investors the Neucon team that mine continuously and own a majority of all coins for the years to come.

FTFY

But this ain't gonna happen. No USP, no expert knowledge, slow development (if we can even use that word), lies and postponements from day one, market dominated by the regime, no external buyers until now - TL;DR a fiasco.

I think it's really hard for price to rise or even stay the same when there is so much inflation plus the coins that are not in the market. Time will tell how things will play out.

PoW blocks would have helped with security in the first 1.6 days after launch (minimum stake age) if there there haven't been any mature transactions which are able to stake. Essentially, PoW blocks would have been the sole contributor to security in the first 1.6 days after launch.

Since the regime has started staking even before the (official) launch, PoW was never meant to help with security.

Block 1 Sept 12 8.02am.

Launch Sept 23 6.56pm

Block 4160 Sept 25 10.00am (1.6 days later when the first nokoiners will be able to stake) 3, 023, 044,000 nokoin
http://www.neucoin.io/block/e1278377cdef8602a386dcd4574f87cf77f09ba5837ef7738dcbbd9b362c2bba

Megga staking? in blocks around 3800 for example, over 100,000 "created" per block.

BTW, why didn't the foundation stake until angels (and team?) had already staked 9m nokoin for themselves?
Any reason or just more greed?
(first stake block 793, first stake for 1.4bn growth foundation block 2054.)
BTW: Why does NoKoin not have the double asterisk "Significantly Premined" flag on coinmarketcap?

In fact, it hurts it because if people using Neucoin don't know the difference between PoW and PoS blocks, they won't realize that having 100 PoW confirmations of their transaction means nothing.

Every PoW block which is only confirmed by a couple of other PoW blocks means a supposable fiasco.
Even PoS blocks which are only confirmed by non-foundation's PoS blocks means a supposable fiasco.

The whole NoKoin system relies on one single node on one single device, probably connected to one single internet connection and one single electricity connection... I'm confident that this wasn't the last fiasco.  Cheesy

Big bad M3ndi3 now BANNED from nokoin forum.  Shocked

"This user is suspended until October 22, 2016 10:37am.
Reason: Spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) and subtracting value from the NeuCoin Project. Both here on the NeuCoin forum and on other social media."

Er, most people would say truth and concern, not FUD.
Suspended for spreading truth and concern.

Yes OK, the truth does tend to subtract value from nokoin, cant argue there.

-But if you are what everyone suspects on this forum, then yes, I was most certainly ban worthy. You fear me because I speak the truth and people will listen to what I have to say. So yes, if the truth spreads fear, uncertainty, and doubt to your plans, then I definitely deserved the ban:)

Welcome to the club of those who dared to speak the truth!! the ban list has probably already outnumbered the active users there!

Yes, the truth does tend to subtract value from nokoin because it is all about deceit, hype and smoke screens. As another ex-nokoiner turned dissident Gizfreak said, it is as transparent as a brick wall.
After all this schizophrenic behavior by the Nokoin regime and Daniel Kaufman's track record of stealing and selling user data, it is just plain stupid for anyone to trust them with their personal details. That is like handling your money to Bernie Maddoff for investment.

as expected I was also 'suspended' and my post deleted https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=944933.msg12741604#msg12741604 nokoiners have by now lost almost half their investments, everything else remains the same

funny how they say suspended for one year?? LOL as if anyone in that growing list would be interested in returning after one year? Or that this project will even be around after one year??

When you ban someone like M3ndi3, who previously has contributed enough to Nokoin to be made moderator, it shows how desperate they are to keep the appearances. The more an authoritarian regime is about to crumble, the more paranoid it becomes.

Arguing about the contradictions in the system of North Korea itself is treason and would be treated as a major issue that one can not live in North Korean society. Over 70 percent of reports of Korean Central Broadcasting are allotted for Kim's idolization and propaganda system. The rest of the reports are spent on blaming and predicting the collapse of the United States, Japan and South Korea.

The Reporters in North Korea spend their time writing flattering articles to Kim. Kim Jong il used to punish the people who wrote from different point of view, saying "Words describe one's ideas".

Nokoin, doing crypto the North Korean way.

Hey kim,
Sorry I missed your banning.
But hey, nokoiners dont give a shit any more, about anything. (except getting rich off nokoin) it's the norm now.
(but there are VERY few nokoiners now so, tfft)
Dan must have slipped in to his nokoin forum unnoticed to me. Idiot.
nokoin forum need a "banned user" list. This is just ridiculous now, eh. Cant keep up.

Dans' bannings now include mods, major investors (never heard a peep of primeval since, btw. BS) minor investors, potential investor's, Whistle blowers,  innocent bystanders..... anyone who dares challenge Dans' self imposed authority...   Cos he's rich...  Jumped up donk.

1,000,000 users in a year. Complete fallacy.
Delusion.
Dan knows that.
Dartious doesn't. Nor James.
James isn't lying when he's shilling cos he knows no better.
Dart should.

Bitcoin, innovative, clever, useful, original, trusted.
nokoin, cloned, buggy, dull, useless, 100% untrustable.

No one is buying nokoin. (except Dan and me, but I'm buying to sell cheap  Shocked Kiss, Dan cant sell without crashing the market, so has to hoard.)
Not bitchin. Not Colt45, Not James.(Dart has kept his account secret so he can sell on the quiet while he shills others in I suspect)
They will all buy now just to prove me wrong. Kneejerk, put out the fire.
Dan cant prove me wrong cos i'm right.
Dan chose to hide away (appearing incognito) and paying James to do his work shilling.

nokoin. Where incompetence and lies go hand in hand with BS and greed and fraud and..  you get the point.
nokoin. Give it up.

North Korea is maybe a niche where Neucoin can find it's place. ;-)

Do you know who exactly is banning? Is there one person who plays dictator or is it consensus of the team? I just ask, because I believe that there is more drama behind the curtain than in front of. In fact I believe, some are already gone or with plans to leave, or more precise: with questions how to get out. It looks like a sect. Very easy to get in, but damaging to get out - even more damaging to stay. Investors only lose some money, but the persons behind are losing a lot more.

And that's the main point that is so mysterious. What the hell did they believe? How naive this is.

I wonder why the NoKoin regime isn't banning Alex...
He throws them their lies back into their faces - clearly emphasizing how unprofessional and centralized the Neucon infrastructure is.

Pretenders and con artists also in the field of server infrastructure. Their delayed transactions overwrite the non-regime blockchains all the time, sometimes after hours =>
100% centralized and buggy - huge risk, one single point of failure. All of this after collecting millions and working more than 1.5 years!
Be sure to memorize the team members, they will be applying for jobs.

Let's have another look at the completely fake market:
- the regime installed some new buy walls, price marginally higher
- the regime now buys with a second account on bittrex (great tactics Neucon)
- TL;DR the regime still the only buyer

Neucon: Where incompetence and lies go hand in hand.

Cant wade through 114 pages:

Just a brief thing would be greatly appreciated. As far as I can tell the coin seems
healthy, its on the rise currently. On the surface it seems like a decent punt - but this is
