Still offering bounties for solar sign up or referring a new sign up:
$50 for #1 $30 for #2 $20 for #3+
Chris, Is the bounty still open? If so, I am looking to push it through my commercial blogs and therefore would like to know how to track affiliate processing e.g. do I give new customers a 'sign up' code? Regards, Cranky I'm working on it will let you know the timing soon. Glad to here you are still working no this project yeah carbon is becoming an increasingly hot* space and quality solutions are still quite scarce. It's probably one of those serendipitous-in-hindsight moments of the having just the right 'thing' at just the right time. In it's current embodiment, the complete GreenCoin ecosystem probably is not that exact "thing," but it could be a sort-of-maybe with some rather simple upgrades and modifications, assuming the underlying principle is a good one. The good news is time isn't really against us yet as it doesn't seem to be the right 'time' yet either. Half of us are watching to see if Kardashian's butt grows another size and the other half is listening to a guy who brings snowballs into the Senate. Granted there is a time when an opportunity passes by and it's lost, but we are nowhere near that point yet. IMO, carbon will probably 'peak' in the middle of the next decade. [What I mean by 'carbon' here is the intensity of the human focus on the problem less so than literally the amount in the air, or other scientific quanta] I'm going to continue to work on some things and roll out improvements on the front end - I mean it's not like the half-busted coin is going anywhere (the merged mining is one of it's bigger strengths). My level of aptitude precludes me from working on the coin itself but if some interest takes hold and we raise some financing then we can put professional dev services on the table, and it could at that point just be a matter weeks. At this time we can appropriately assess what the ultimate solution is going to be - i.e., do we fork the current coin with upgrades or go with a premium-octane coin full-reboot (and offer a GRE trade in) as was sort of attempted previously. I am still advocating for trying to get a few more organic sign-ups, hence the previous post advertising bounties. So if anyone knows anyone with solar just have them sign-up. Maybe help them seed the wallet node (probably the trickiest part to GreenCoin still is using the wallet client). But that's really the extent of it, I mean, the solar/web part of it is literally you periodically type in the reading on your meter (and even this is online for most people nowadays anyhow). For this small effort you receive coins - sure there not worth much, but they are yours and you never know what might happen when an ecosystem grows up... So I can do some front end snazziness, and possibly raise financing for a much bigger push if we get to 100 sign-ups or so, but I really really need a few people to reach out and get a few sign-ups, that would really help out in a huge way. (* apologies...) Thank you for the update Chris. Just a thought. Have you considered launching your coin/asset on something like Bitshares? You can issue assets/coins without the need to develop from scratch and value them against BitUSD BitCNY or BitBTC. Blatant plug - yes, but worth a thought The one asset coin I looked into was XCP (counterparty) but it didn't look like a good fit. IM me more info about how you think a bitshares would work. I'm always open to ideas.

Happy "anniversary:" Block #500,000 came on June 4, 2015, 11:52:23
Some fun stats:
Block 1: 6/8/2014 03:48 Block 500,000: 6/4/2015 11:52 Days passed: 361.34 Seconds: 31,219,436 Average s/block: 62.439 Coins gen. per s: 32.031
We were targeting block 500k to be the 1 year point, so we were pretty close, considering some of the history (low and variable pre-merge mining and then implementing merge mining).
I'll update the thread with a "State of the Union" for GreenCoin this weekend which coincides with the actual calendar anniversary of GRE. In the meantime, I know it's sad Bittrex and Allcoin dropped GRE. In fact, it's actually kind of lame because it cost $2300 aggregate just to get listed in the first place. But anyway, I know a couple of folks (including me) have had trouble getting the final withdrawl out of Allcoin. Hammer on them with support tickets; don't let that guy keep your coins because he's can't be bothered to pay them out. I'll post the result of my support ticket but it has been > 24 hours and I haven't heard anything.

I would have thought you'd have plenty already Chris :-) If you have no limit on how many you can buy then why not spend 0.2 BTC getting the coin added to Empoex?

Is block explorer updated?
Block explorer updated. It is still currently located here: http://gre-be.cloudapp.net/index.phpMostly the features are cosmetic though there is one cool feature where you can click on the coins sent and it'll calculate the current amount of CO2 those coins represent (you can't "click back" yet but I will be updating this over time. I am doing this myself so I have to learn javascript, css, and php). To see it in action, the most recent GreenCoin payout is here: Producer 1 Address: GMfa7JcHLk9iFTKDuWdcndXXCvjrbY8UNJ TXID: 8e4cdb9a1d8a17c1a6dad7c43bd1a721976a085a4089e10c355b3232efa54851 Producer 2 Address: GHzjCjWUKAL4LF9mYcNDwjZ1CLXN3vfyry TXID: 79bac85fac71e63763980dc349cb73e72544db835bd022f3572fdf863df42a5e Producer 3 Address: GUbAT7eVRtPuDXF2EBT9jynyKYm5R5Jx2L TXID: 7e69c0b668a213eaf50b2fb24cfb6111306ded21d23e2d0abd8db92f47506d98 Producer 6 Address: GQ4jrqaeEjiBDaseu4geTCCSN1Xu1rqyeX TXID: 396cf7f27c03a82dbe08143dd3eb0e629b14e0af7a986d13cbb5dbd72b71067b Producer 7 GYk3vQ6smss2hAKssA5aT3HyiCszj76xwY TXID: a10ca6be8f8d2fcf0037d1ac75ca415513be78a2843dccbbb77752186574b37e Producer 8 Address: GJteWvucoJ4MnxHLj7GFya8XEFDrZN6Z1o TXID: 88a92a3ef82d12dbcb2c5919c94837f607737399200270ac7d5a75f54c0dc756 Producer 9 GSXEKfJmimrbNgNvGVxPZY5FEDYrAWNE6n TXID: 8a4a1f9c9e35da124c7fc1a4eb1e3fd76c213b99ce92316bc8944de7db2834aa Producer 13 GHrSTMjevZARjC7KCYhiBWC8M29Lbmg1js TXID: 71e4f07c0cc62cf0e1bc9a34cb89a05bf57756e6b9fe10c5eb077cc33dd2c1f0 Producer 14 Address: GM4fGXUwjkXGoZMH3WjFTwEgCTHTQTJvFx TXID: 6de2597edcfc08a08717e28cd854dee9bdfc1251bc166fd50315fc93bb190a8d TXID: fcecc8b199609cc48d3d41ed5bb3a79c4a016beb03ac903d6c4be523b11bfcd2
As an example, for Producer 8, he received coins in this transaction, which was part of this block (by clicking on the blockhash link). This transaction is part of block height #536451, so if you knew this you could type just the block number into the box on the front page. Let me know features people want to see and I'll keep a list and try to do them in a one by one fashion. #1: Fix the coin button so it goes back and forth between coins paid and kg Co2 (and thirdly toggle between price/value, if GreenCoin gets relisted on exchanges). #2: List the last 20 non-coinbase transactions on the FP #3: Separate the main coins from the "change" coins in a transaction #4: List all transactions by address #5: (etc)
