Dev, please check the nodes!
I have tested the port 8810 on all three nodes (nxe.ddns.net, nxe1.ddns.net and nxe.suprnova.cc), and only the Suprnova node is working. The port 8810 is closed on both nxe.ddns.net and nxe1.ddns.net, so they do not work. That's the reason of problems with sync some people are having.
Double checked but ufw says they are open
Could our hosting provider have them blocked?
I have tried to connect from two different places - the same result (only nxe.suprnova.cc works).
Probably your provider indeed have them closed... Can you use the same provider as dcxnode.ddns.net? That one works without problem.
To test if the port is open, you just need to "telnet nxe.ddns.net 8810" from other machine. If the port is open, you will connect and see a black screen. Ig it is close, you'll get a timeout.
